The camera cutout is larger to reduce flash glare which I have experienced with lots of cases.
I said it's an awful lot like not exactly the same....
Well, its red i'll give you that!

Hmm. Have the gold iphone on order and really like how it looks with the beige case.
A few thoughts I'm wrangling with as I decide if I want to try and pick up a different color locally (not gold obviously due to short supply more than likely)
1) Do I want a case that has front screen shattering protection? It doesn't look like the Apple leather cases are going to provide you with much protection against a drop since they don't have a tremendous amount of rigidity and the lip doesn't extend "up" past the screen to create an impact cushion.
2) Does a clear screen protector offer much drop protection? Maybe combining the two would be a reasonable alternative.
3) Do I want to just protect my investment with a more protective case. I really like the otterbox commuter I have on my 4S. When I take it off I find the phone to be really slippery and delicate feeling. As much as I love the beautiful aesthetic of the phone without a case, I also like protecting my investment.
So much to consider.
I do wonder what's meant by leather changing over time. What looks different?
I agree. It was the only one i had at the time and had to put something on. My SGP will be here soon.

here you go
Will it work with a back and side skin ? Example bestskins ever ?
Can anyone post a picture comparing the thickness of the case with a naked 5/5s? Thanks.
Pros:
- Works with some oversized connectors (tested and shown in my video)
Has anyone tried to use the new leather case with an iPhone 5s and Amazon's version of the lightning connector? Are they compatible? I ask as I know Amazon's connector is a little wider than Apple's connector and does not fit with some cases.
I like the potential durability of the Amazon cable due to its different style of sheathing. Apple cables, to me, were best back in 2005. Since then, they just come apart near the connectors. I base this on my 1 generation iPod Nano cable still in use on my iPhone 4s...while my oem 3GS and 4s cables all bit the dust.
I plan to purchase the Apple leather case today and order some Amazon style lightning connectors.
