New Apple MacBook on Tuesday? GMA X3100?

Macbook Pro price drop??

Hey, I just ordered a Macbook Pro online yesterday - I can still easily login to the store and cancel it, avoiding a restocking fee. I have read through this thread and the consensus is that there will be no spec change for the MBP, right?

Well, what about a price drop? Updating the macbook to SR and better graphics will make it nearly equal to the MBP. Would apple drop the MBP's price (In other words, should I cancel my order then reorder tomorrow or wednesday??)

The MBP's GPU is still better by nearly an order of magnitude.
 
Sorry Kids, Not Tomorrow

Sorry to disappoint everybody, but they aren't coming tomorrow. there would be someone receiving a shipment by now that would spill the beans. it hasn't happened, so try again next tuesday. that's my call.

And as for the subnotebook, my personal opinion is that it won't happen until the price of solid state drives comes down, maybe a year, but at least 6 months.

i doubt very much that apple will upgrade to the 2.4 ghz chip, they will most likely keep the 2.0 and 2.2 intel cpus. the 2.4 is just too expensive to put in the lower priced macbooks.

Next Tuesday.

Don't believe this guys, It's possible they could ship Tomorrow, and be in stores by the weekend. Like they've done with iPods in the past.

Wishful thinking on my part, But I'd like to see the Starter 15" Model down to $1,599. If the MacBook updates are Minor, Then I might go ahead and get the 15" Pro Model if the price is Dropped.

Although I'm really hoping for 13" Aluminum LED Backlit MacBooks Tomorrow at 9am
 
think about it... the white mac book is the only mac with out aluminum casing
definitely whenever it will be, macbooks will have just aluminum casing or maybe even a black/silver aluminum

Well, if they announce them tomorrow, but don't have them in stores yet, how long do you think it will take to get to you if you ordered tomorrow? Probably around next tuesday. but again, nobody is getting a new macbook tomorrow. just don't want people getting their hopes up.

I'm wondering why no other Mac related rumour and news site isnt reporting or speculating on the rumoured update of the Macbook to be released tomorrow?

From what I've seen they actually have. Thinksecret has something up on their site bout releases either tomorrow or next tuesday. Others have at least mentioned the kext files

hmmmm good question. has arn been stumped? so november 6th is a better estimate? darn... I was hoping tom.
 
couldn't apple ship them tomorrow morning and then have them selling by 6 pm like the iPhone this way they don't give it away until tomorrow morning?

How has apple released silent updates in the past?

Very rarely, have Computers been in stores the same day they were announced. It usually takes a few days, from China.

Were the new iMacs announced in August in store same day?
