The bend jokes aren't funny or original or even true unless your a moron that doesnt know the law of physics and know that metal can bend. I am sick of every single apple product that gets released gets so much news coverage about a problem that 1% or less of the dumb american population has a problem with. Its pretty obvious to anyone with a brain that to bend this would take serious force that most of us normal people will not inflict upon it or if we would know the force in our pockets is too much just by feeling how tight it is in there. Ok thats all I'm saying, I'm just glad I'm not as dumb or irresponsible as some people.

You can't really get a feel for something unless you hold it for yourself. I had printouts of the Plus that were "actual size" but a piece of paper only gets you so far.

I don't think anything accurately depicts the phones other than actually putting them in your hand. When I held them, the 6 Plus wasn't as big as I thought it would be.

I don't know why but the iPhone 6+ looks smaller in print than in real life.

My best guess is that the real iPhone (5/5s) situated next to the picture is a 3D object, which means it is closer to our field of view than the photograph. So the photograph would look comparatively slightly smaller.

I've noticed this as well and this has me perplexed. Comparing the prints, the 6 hardly looks wider than the 5s. Handling them in real life, the 5s is noticeably skinnier than the 6.

Yeah, I went to a local Verizon store for something non-iPhone 6 related and saw this crappy paper printout of iPhone 6/6+ case outlines so you could compare them to your current phone. The 6 looked barely bigger than the 5S.

The idiots at this Verizon store (they really are idiots but that's another story) printed it out in portrait instead of landscape so half of the iPhone 6+ was cutoff.

Sure... they make the short one white and big and bigger ones black.

I'm feeling racially abused...

It's kind of annoying to me they're focusing so much on "OMG IT'S BIG" in their marketing. I thought they'd try and barely mention it like it's no big deal. They're making it out like it's something that hasn't been around for years.

I guess the ad will entice switchers to android though.

Wow ... I've sent girls ad's of a thing and they asked if it was actual size or scaled. i tell them actual size and they just laugh :(

You post a dick joke in like every thread. It's not even funny dude.

----------

Bigger than bigger is right which is why the new larger sizes are much more of a negative than positive feature to me since not even the 6 fits comfortably in my adult male hand.

If you have a phone that is smaller than the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, though at least these ads will let you see how much pocket space you are saving by not "upgrading."

Stop getting mad because you don't like big screens. The new iphone are indeed an upgrade. They're objectively better phones technology wise.

They should show the 6+ from the side to show what it looks like before it bends.:D

Weren't they working on a bendy phone, maybe this is it.

I wonder if there's any chance of a smaller bezel on the 6s+. There's just so much unnecessary space on the top and bottom.

I was going to buy it before I saw it in real life, once I saw those bezels I just freaked out. Glad I did I'm not sure I want a pretzel phone.

That bezel .. So huge and ugly .. A shame, could have been a pretty phone.

It doesn't matter! Apple finally realized that you are going to put it into a case anyway! It is the way the case looks that matters! :D I've got the $50 Apple black leather case for my 6 Plus and it looks awesome! :apple:

It was perfect back then when mobile version of the Internet was as mature as today, iOS Dev kit wasnt designed to accommodate multiple resolutions. Now it's much more ready as people actually rely on the mobile platform way more than before and start to demand and appreciate a bigger device.

Steve didn’t say it was perfect for the content being consumed. He said it was perfect for the hand size. Don’t be so deliberately short sighted.

It’s calling out the fanboys as hypocrites, that’s the point he/she was getting at and you know it!

Huh? If anything, the web displayed on smaller screens is a lot more usable now that we have responsive design and everything...

Zero creativity in this ad. :(

Its not the point, it answers the question that many were looking for. What size are they compared to the existing models. I have not yet found one to look at at a store. There are now several downloadable print outs that are to scale.

Now that I know what size they really are I placed my order. I'm sure many had the same dilemma.

Unfortunately I ordered from the premier AT&T site and they messed up my order.

I was totally surprised how bad the customer service was for the business customer. The consumer support is much better. My lesson learned is not to buy from the premier online store. My problems are still not solved waiting for the order to auto cancel, because nobody there has a clue on how to solve the problem or cancel the order. My delay on getting a new phone has been extended :(
