The magic Apple once possessed is now long gone and it seems few care. One camp wants Apple to be an efficient no frills business (shareholders I suppose), another might have even forgotten what Apple used to be. Oh well, I've moved on anyway. It’s not effort.
It’s useless posturing.
It is Johny Ives personified.
All form, no function.
I personally think that NOT using AI is more impressive. People passing off AI as something creative implies laziness and lack of effort. You’ll see this a lot on Facebook - a lot of people are getting tired of quick AI generated fakery. People don’t respect low cost, high turnover content because it takes very little effort or skill.ok nice nobody cares -- AI can do this in five minutes. next!
Ah yes, the most important part of Apple, there… uh, Microsoft Office rip-off.I’m sure it was more a remark meant to say that Apple should start focusing on its core again.
I completely agree.
People that fear AI or proclaim AI can do everything better are the ones that will be out of work in a few years. People that want to remain creative while using AI as a tool are the ones that will be employed gainfully for decades to come.ok nice nobody cares -- AI can do this in five minutes. next!
I was just thinking of this. A sort of procedural homage to the GOAT, while also subtly saying "we're playing in that league now."Reminds me of the old HBO intro from the 80s

If you call this crap I have absolutely no respect for youCan you put resource into updating iWork and not this crap please
Regards, everyone
That wasn’t the Mac startup sound as I know it. Maybe reminiscent of it, but I thought it was a unique sound.why'd they get rid of the Mac startup sound?
This mentality is basically the problem with our modern society, creating art is now considered a waste of time, this guy would rather have this effect being created by a robot while killing his only planet rather than see a group of people use their skills and talent in creating something that is beautiful. This is a waste of money. I love Apple, but this just shows how far behind they are in both developing and using AI.
What updates to iWork are you looking for? I use it as my primary productivity tools and am genuinely interested in hearing your thoughts. Can you put resource into updating iWork and not this crap please

Awesome, didn't know that. Kind of ironic that their design language back then was mostly flat and lifeless, carried over from Windows 8.Fantastic stuff, always appreciate the technical effort in making these happen. It's far too easy to go for CGI and computer animation nowadays (not that I'm dunking on them, they have their place).
Reminds me of the Windows 10 desktop wallpaper, which was also an in-camera capture.

The current head of AppleTV was the head of HBO.Reminds me of the old HBO intro from the 80s

Speak for yourself! Can you put resource into updating iWork and not this crap please

I can't even understand why you think that the team who made this logo have anything to do with Apple proper. These people don't even work for Apple. This is a waste of money. I love Apple, but this just shows how far behind they are in both developing and using AI.
I’m old enough to remember when iWork was considered a folly that Apple shouldn’t pursue and they’d better focus more on their core…I’m sure it was more a remark meant to say that Apple should start focusing on its core again.
I completely agree.
That was bloody awful.Reminds me of the old HBO intro from the 80s
😎
Do you love Apple for their core then? Because from the start they tried to marry tech to art. Making this with art is apples way. Making it with generative AI seems like a betrayal of apples values. This is a waste of money. I love Apple, but this just shows how far behind they are in both developing and using AI.
