Why would you want to ruin perfection by adding a USB-C port?
You didn't understand
With this USB-C case, your Lightning iPhone can be charged with about 9V instead of 5V
Of course this makes sense

Fellow 13 mini user. Let us know how it goes for you. Never did like lanyard loops though.I'm tempted because right now my 13 mini is my only Apple device with Lightning. Carrying just one cable when I travel might be worth it.
[EDIT: They have a lanyard loop option; instant buy.]
As a 13 mini owner my use case and preference means I won't get the case, but I can see why some would. The main reason I will continue to keep this phone, however, I don't like larger phones. Would be willing to move up to 5.6" or so but not to 6" or more. All I want is this phone or similar with new battery chemistry and an updated proc. Apple giving the phone the "mini" name threw people, I know from experience that people think this phone is smaller because of the name. Drop the "mini" name, up to 5.6" or so and add USB-C.I think we’re going to see a lot more of these unconventional accessories.
People are holding onto their iPhones for a 3rd, 4th, 5th year and beyond in a way they didn’t used to. As those devices age there’s going to be a market for accessories that help mitigate the frustration.
I’d rather buy a USB-C Mini but Apple won’t take my money.
The persistent negativity is mostly a reflection of their happiness level off the forum. Having a "disagree" button in the comments was a mistake—too easy for those who view everything through a negative lens to keep up their habit. If the mods here can go back to simple "Like" button where those who dislike something for whatever reasons are forced to article themselves in words it would only improve the forum. (watch them "disagree")My goodness ..
Is there ANYTHING we can discuss without rampant negativity here?
It's an optional phone case folks.
If you don't want one or don't need it, it's not mandatory to say so.
Scrolling right on by after reading is allowed.
Nah, those phones will be obsolete before we know it. Waste of time. No, the very difinition of innovation and problem solving. (even though it's a non-issue on newer phones). Don't ask why? ask how? and learn.
Good to know about this. But I would not use such a case. Also not sure whether it will be ever available for purchase.
I'm considering this product even though I don't normally like or use a case! I usually travel with an iPad in addition to my phone, this would let me reduce two cables to one. Which probably sounds like a small thing, but there's also lots of fiddling around to select the right cable out of the bag, swap on and off the charger, and so on. Big win.Agreed. Those of us with old iPhones are probably fine with the Lightning cables we collected over the years. He's mostly just using his engineering skills to create content, so that must pay more than engineering? [Or perhaps he's having more fun this way.]
When someone decides to use a case instead of endangering their older iPhone it is indeed a big win.I'm considering this product even though I don't normally like or use a case! ... Big win.
almost certainly not. a case is not going to have voltage conversion circuitry. You didn't understand
