Just got this and despite not having high expectations I was still disappointed. First issue was the quality of the material. Even though I didn't consider this expensive ($21 before tax when bought directly from Caudabe), I was let down by how cheap the material felt. It was like those hard plastic folders you see in the office. Compare that to a Spigen I bought last year that was cheaper (less than $15 I think) and yet its material had a better quality feel to it. Second was a red flag when I saw a slip of paper in the packaging that told me to handle with care because the case could crack easily. Sure enough as I was putting it on the phone, it broke in the area around the headphone jack. So my brand new case was already damaged before I got to use it outside the house. And finally it was still slippery which defeated my purpose for getting a case. I would prefer to not use a case but the phone is slippery and I want to protect the protruding camera lens.

Too bad. I like the way it looks and how the design didn't obscure the back of the phone.

I agree on the material and just can't understand why they chose one that's so slippery and prone to scratching. Didn't they think about either of these issues? I absolutely love the fit and appearance of this case when new, but if it's scratched up I won't be enjoying it for long. Mine is already showing wear in 4 days of keeping it in a soft pocket with no other contents.

Anyone looking for a Veil XT with more grip might want to check this out.

One of its selling points is a "non-slip, rubbery matte texture." I just ordered the Matte Black version with Prime Shipping for $8.99. I'll report back when it gets here next week.

Awesome! Hopefully it scratches less easily than the veil. Had it for my iPhone 6 last year and hated how scuffed it got immediately. Mine arrives the 21st, I'll chime in as well

My wisp Veil XT is definitely on the slippery side. It also gets easily scuffed up. I've got it in the same pocket as my work phone which has a Totalee Scarf. The Scarf has a slight texture so that it doesn't scuff at all and is a bit more grippy. The only downside to the Scarf is that it doesn't cover the bottom completely.

This looks good. Please let us know if you think a Cinder screen protector would be compatible. It's hard to tell from the pictures.

Still loving the Puro .3. Very similar case with much more grip. I've only been using it for a week but no scratches. My previous Veil got scratched putting it on the phone.

How's your Puro 0.3? The one I purchased a while back had sections that were flimsy. Like around the volume buttons and speakers because it doesn't have the precise cuts. It doesn't have the raised protection around the camera area either. Perhaps my Puro 0.3 is one of the earlier versions? The rest of the case is pretty good though and doesn't scratch as easily as the Veil XT.

I have the Puro on my 6S Plus and it fits very snugly. The area around the volume buttons is thinner than the rest of the case which is typical but I find it to lay tight and snug against the phone. The case itself is about even with the camera. I'm super happy with this case.

Just ordered white and black, seems like it will work with an e2e glass sp, and it's $8.69 shipped, sounds like a great price to me.

I'm actually requesting a refund. Let's think about this; this case isn't purchased for it's incredible drop protection capabilities, it's purchased because it looks darn good and maintains the naked design of the phone. If the case becomes so unattractive as mine has due to scratching, it's best feature (its amazing looks) is lost.

The lack of scratch resistance is just ludicrous on this case. I've now kept it 4 days in my front pants pocket with nothing else in the pocket and it's excessively marred up, it looks terrible. I even regularly remove dust from this pocket with packing tape. I have other cases that barely show a hint of wear at all after months of usage in the same front pants pocket. It's just plain unacceptable.

Completely agree. Had it for my 6 last year and it lasted a week.

I actually purchased one of these thinking that I might pair it up with a 3D screen protector but I think in going to be sending it back.

This is the earliest ever that I've settled on my favorite case and screen protector. Usually I'm months in with the search. I got my new phone on Thursday and all set today with the Puro and Benks. All good!

That volume area button on the Puro is probably going to warp after a few weeks if it's as thin as the Veil.

That's the same color veil XT I have too. Just beautiful. I have no problem with the grip at all. Its not super grippy but is more grippy than a naked iPhone which is all I want. No issue with scratches either (although I'm not super picky about stuff like that, unlike some people on here). Still the best case I've owned.

It's not as thin as the Veil. I'm not sure what the Veik is but I'm pretty sure it's thinner than the .3 of the Puro. It's a different material also and no scratches thus far.

so no lip on this case, thats interesting, how many of you are using this case with a Glass Screen protector. ?

I paired my Veil XT with a cheap glass screen protector (forget what brand) and it's a pretty awesome combo. It's not one of those edge to edge screen protectors, but I'm not too fussed about the two millimeters or whatever that's not covered.

It's not a matter of being super picky. It's a matter of being super fragile and it shouldn't be. I maintain the fact (unlike some people on here) that a case designed primarily to look great shouldn't look extremely worn in 4 days.

And I disagree on its grip capability, it's not particularly confidence inspiring in that regard either. It's better than the phone's metal but not by a lot.

Guess we just have different preferences then! I like it because it will keep scratches off my actual phone and still feels like I don't have a case on my phone. It does a terrific job of that in my opinion. I actually don't care much about scratches on the case itself and I suspect most people who *aren't* super picky wouldn't care either. That's all I was trying to say. There's room for more than one set of opinions/preferences in the world, right? :)

As per the Caudabe web site, the Veil XT is 0.35mm. I think the color matters with how much/less the scratches appear on the case. The frost white color probably will not show scratches as much as the darker colors.
