It's a really nice feature - I love it. I use it all the time. :)

Warning: May cause "real life" to pass you by completely.

For the last week or so, it's been that way for me, certainly

Now - on the off-chance I might want one of those one day - do you know where I can get one...?

:p

I love the new feature, btw, but I still find myself going back to my "Participated in"-search.

It's a bit hard to keep track of which threads I've replied to or not, and I definitively don't want to subscribe to any thread I've ever posted in... that would make it very hard to re-find those very few threads I already subscribe to...

i wish another feature added would have been being able to see who gives positive and negative votes to a thread after 24 hours. who would vote negative on this anyway? freakin' morons...

That's very cool. I just wish there was a way to automatically check threads I've posted in, without having to subscribe to every thread.

There is an alternative. You can easily check all the threads in which you have posted. Just find one post where you did reply. Click on your user name on the left and select "find more posts by you". I subscribe to only those threads in which I havent posted at all but still find them interesting. The rest are simply accessible through above procedure.

This is great. I can simply open this page up and leave it on my dock all day while I work. Checking back to see what new news there is in the world of Apple!!

Exactly what I first thought of doing. Great lil feature. Keep it up Arn n Team.

EDIT: There is one slightly annoying problem though. It`s not showing my local time on the Forum Spy page. Any way to resolve this?

 Wow, I really need to check the demi forum more often. I could have saved New Posts about a thousand clicks.

Well, so much for clicking the 'New Posts' button a zillion times when I can't sleep anymore. :D Thanks arn and crew!

Groovy.

If only my company's Great Firewall of Doom didn't block it, I'd pop over to that Web 2.0 Logo Generator and whip up an ever so attractive Web 2.0-style logo for MacRumors (*beta*) in blue and reddy-pink, with an *ahem* tasteful mirror effect and dropped vowel.

There we go (that's the best I can do without that logo generator page). You can almost feel the AJAX dripping from it.

Hmm. Is there a way to set how long it takes before you get the timeout message "Are you still there?"

No, and I suspect if it was added everyone would just stick it up to the maximum anyway :)

The exact figure used for the timeout is a guess and may need altered depending on whether a lot of people are still actively using it at the timeout figure. It's intended to prevent it being left open for extended periods of time when you're not actively watching it.

I do have an idea of a better way of doing, but for now you're stuck with that method :)

That kind of works, but it doesn't let you know if anyone has responded to your comment. What I'm looking for is a way to filter the "new posts" search to only include threads I've commented on.

oila!

Awesome.

Is this custom code or a plugin for vB? If it's the latter, I know a friend of mine who runs a vB would be very interested in it.
