Hmm... one small thing:

Why doesn't the spy sub domain have a favicon, yet? :)

Is anyone else completely addicted to the forum spy?

must... stop... watching...

I've always been addicted to MacRumors, so I can't really comment :D but yes, I do find the Forum Spy feature to be extremely handy. I use it now almost exclusively as an alternative to the New Posts page.

At first, I didn't understand the point of forum spy but now its turned into a great feature. When I have nothing better to do, I just sit here and watch the new posts show up. :D

I've noticed more than a few times that Spy doesn't completely update new threads while New Posts does. Even when I manually refresh it the missing thread won't show. Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I noticed something similar yesterday. I had the first reply to the front page article on the laptop refresh and it didn't get picked up by Forum Spy. One of the next posts (#4 or #5, I think) was also missed. Haven't paid close enough attention at the thread level to see if it's missing entire threads.

Are you sure it's not just being slow? I find it's about five minutes or so behind New Posts. That's why I don't use it.

If it was 5 seconds behind new posts it would be too slow for you mad jew... :p ;) :D

Yes, I've also noticed that it's a few seconds slow...five minutes, no, but usually two or three seconds.

And in the case I was talking about, since it was a front page thread, there were a bunch of posts in the thread as soon as it was posted, so it was easy to see them scroll by in the Forum Spy. A couple of posts (one of them mine) were definitely missed by the Spy, as there was an entry for the thread when it had four posts in it, and then the next entry listed it at six posts (just as an example...I don't remember the exact numbers). Forum Spy never recognized the fifth post in the thread.

Part of it probably has to do with the fact that the majority of the threads mad jew participates in will not appear in the Forum Spy for him due to the special permissions on his account.

Just to clarify, the five minute delay isn't on every thread, just some of them.

My permissions are only one digit different to your own... ;)

Actually I was referring to the fact that non-Demis can't read Demi threads, but currently, yes, I suppose that is actually the case. ;)

Me too. Having the icons to the side or something similar would make this much easier to use in my case.

Me three! I'd love to use it to check threads I've posted in (without having to subscribe).
