To me, the whole idea is completely redundant.
Yeah, we can tell.

It's nice to be understood so well. I have given you a +1.Yeah, we can tell.
Same here.
It was working fine yesterday but today it just takes me to the forum index.
I got IE9 installed btw.
Working on the IE issues.

Agreed. This is going to be a disaster in PRSI if enabled.I had suggested to one of your moderators that MR should disable the tagging feature in the PRSI. I think you should disable this up/down voting thing as well.
The rating system looks ugly and out of place and just adds clutter to the forums.
Very much agreed. If I'm honest I don't really like it, it's an interesting idea certainly but as long as downvoted posts aren't hidden or collapsed eventually once they reach a certain amount of downvotes I think it will be okay, because it won't change the way threads are displayed or how/if people speak their mind.
I do agree that you should be able to remove your vote, rendering a net change of zero, but otherwise, it appears to be accurate.\
I posted that before that function existed. My post was #66. See posts #85 and #89.It's probably been figured out by now, but you can remove your vote (whether positive or negative). Just click the button that you previously clicked to remove your rating. Lets say you clicked +1 but now you want to take that back to make it 0, just press +1 again to undo it.
How about establishing a "thanks" button? If we feel the post merits a thank you as it's really helpful we hit that.
Has there been any word from the higher-ups on why this feature was implemented now after years of asking and for seemingly no good reason?
That's an awful idea. Posts will get downrated because someone disagrees with a perfectly valid opinion? I've already seen posts downrated because someone said they prefer Android over Apple or had a good thing to say about Microsoft. Hell, I'd probably get downrated just for my avatar.
As long as people are going to act like little children, using these ratings to hide posts is a horrible idea.
