Is Apple all about adz for kidz these days? These efforts are American Pie 5 caliber; sophomoric humor stuck on repeat. No wonder science and engineering are suffering in schools when computers are sold by binaries arguing over which is the stud in front of the cheerleaders. Sadly, the problem spreads when the hardware line becomes more and more concerned about pink or blue than practical computing matters. Many are laughing at you on this one, Apple, not with you.

I like the Group one. Ha, "I've been error free for nearly a week. I've been error free for nearly a week..." :D

Just for the record, I have Vista, and I don't have that many problems with it. But I still enjoy the Get A Mac commercials. They brighten up my day :)

I thought that was a great bit, too.

I also agree, I run both Vista and OS X, and my Mac (shock, horror!) crashes more often than my PC. Of course, it may have something to do with the fact that I mess around with my Mac a lot more, on the order of 16 hours a day, compared to maybe 4 hours a week on the PC..... (And while I do things like have APE installed on my Mac, I keep my PC as 'clean' as I possibly can.)

I have to say, with Service Pack 1, Vista is as rock-solid as Leopard, for me at least; a shaky start, yes, but still not working like it should? I disagree with that.

Repair Permissions

So my Vista might give me an error saying that Winamp needs to close every time I tell the program to quit, but at least it doesn't randomly freeze while I'm browsing Safari like Os X has done twice in the last week!!!

You seem to have a software conflict. After permission repair, if the problem still persists, try trashing preferences, or take your machine to an Apple Store.

Who cares about Vista? Vista gets more airtime from Apple than Microsoft.
Wow, I just realized now how true that is. I've never even seen an actual vista commercial on TV! The only time I hear about vista on TV is during these commercials!

Looks like they've completely revamped their "Get a Mac" page. It's about time, since it hasn't really been updated much since 2005.

Seems they've changed the player interface on the page, I used to be able to save these by just clicking the bottom corner of the player window and select 'save as source', but I can't do that any more. Does anyone know how I could save a copy of the ads now that Apple has changed the page design?

I think most people laugh at these adverts, Mac and PC users alike. We all know it's propaganda but at least it's reasonably funny propoganda.

Simply right-click over the video area, the menu is still there.

Hah the group one is good. "I've been error free for nearly a week. I've been error free for nearly a week. I've been error free for nearly a week."

wow

WOW (shown about 1 week after Vista's release - pathetic and ineffective)

Oh yeah??? well i was using my PC and i farted and a little poop came out! Stupid PCs!

Well you need to remember the target audence. It is not for Mac People who have made the switch. It is for PC users, who feel they need to make the switch. PC Users get flooded with Vista logos and Microsoft Name every day. What apple is doing is reminding them of their pain they have with the system to make them decide to switch. Microsoft has been keeping Vista Quite for a reason, they want to play low until they can fix the problems or get a new version out. Apple keeping attention to it will make people realize getting a new PC you will get Vista which has all these problems so you will probabably be better off with a Mac instead.

You can advertise how cool OS X is until the cows come home and people will not switch unless they feel some pain to do so.

The PC guy is so hyperactive, but the Mac has always been standing around and say a few words.

I like them both. Some have been funnier than others but I have liked all of the commercials :)

Well where are the UK versions of these that's what I want to know, Mitchell & Webb are funnier with the ad's an the two guys from US, Anyhow I liked them.

Thanks for the stereotype.

The ad campaign is old - but these two latest ones are really cute (literaly for the Pep Rally ).

Well it's true... every time Apple releases these commercials, there's always a group of people whining and complaining about how Apple should be ashamed of themselves because these commercials "just show how smug Apple users are" or something to that effect.

I personally think they're awesome, witty, intelligent and pretty damn effective. :)

Mitchell and Webb are much funnier, still good though, loved the group one, especially since i had to do a clean install of vista a couple of days ago, (have to do it ever couple of months as my laptop tends to just die on my)
