New iBooks Next Tuesday?

Actually it went down around 1ish and was back up by 1:45 BST...that's even sooner....

(Don't know what i'm waiting for - i already have a powerbook and my sister's new ibook arrived here yesterday. it's still in the box as she hasn't come over to collect it yet and i'm having to keep dragging myself away from it...)

If an update is announced within the next 14 days can this one be exchanged or does that not apply to BTO models?

8:37 am on US eastern standard time and the site is still up and running. Not looking too good right now.

i want an ibook but if it doesn't appear on thursday i'll buy a wintel out of spite
 
Well wait until 3pm UK time... thats another half an hour. Last tuesday, that's when the store was closed for new iPods.

So! Let's all be excited for a little while longer.

The site was actually down beetween 1 and 2 UK time so no hope today but hopefully we will see something on the 7th..

And anyway people, the media event is on Thursday. There was zero indication that anything would happen today. Wait till tuesday. If nothing, then you can cry.

True. What is discouraging though, is that the listed ship time for the iBook is still "same business day".

Ok... now I'm pretty annoyed!! I can't believe another tuesday has come and gone and we haven't seen any updates on the ibook!! I am really really hoping for thursday!

I wanted to ask you guys... I am planning on getting the 12" ibook but I was wondering if there is any chance that that particular model could ever be upgraded to have a superdrive instead of a combo drive...__?? is that hope realistic__?

I was going to get a 12" iBook too, but instead I'm going to get a 12" Powerbook. It will last you much longer in the long run, and you'll be much happier with it.
