New iMac Shipping Notices

I wish I knew what was save to order so my ram would be ready to go. I got 16gb from apple I just want to get another

I heard about the 2133mhz but according to the spec, it should run on 1866mhz.

That being said, I don't know the actual "CL" of the imac ddr3l. Apple did not updated their support page yet https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205040

I believe the iMac CL is 13. The memory you posted is rather expensive. I paid $250 for the 32GB I listed. There is talk of the iMac taking advantage of the extra speed @ 2133MHz.

Mine graduated to "preparing for shipment" earlier today, still there.
I did talk to Apple Support about a different issue and was assured mine would arrive by Tuesday- the last day of my quoted delivery window.

I ordered on Saturday the 17th evening and got a delivery date of Monday the 26th. Monday morning the 19th I woke up to a preparing for shipment. By the evening it was
shipped. I got an SMS saying delivery was on the 22nd Thursday!!!

I believe this is the first delivery batch for Melbourne Australia because I remember looking when Apple had updated their website as delivery dates and the 22nd was listed as the earliest for btos.

Btw it's top specs with 8gb ram. I need to go hunting for ram tomorrow :)

the ram, although labeled as ddr3 instead of ddr3l is still low voltage 1.35 and should be fine. The 'L' refers to low voltage and not all ram is labeled as such even though it is. Check the specs. You are looking for that 1.35 (the regular stuff is 1.5v)
 
Currently still in processing (19-21 deliver date). However do they typically email when it goes into preparing for shipment and shipped? (meaning should i stop checking and just wait for email? haha)

They email when shipped only....

Us USA folks seem like there is no movement for some reason.
That's awesome fast for Australia.....congrats.
 
I just chatted with Apple about my shipping and arrival dates. On the site it says:

Shipping: 3-5 days
Delivery: Oct 19 - Oct 21

Here is what they said.

Everything is perfect and on track to arrive on time. I see your computer is currently in open status right now and it is set to ship in 3-5 business days which is when your status will no longer be processing and will be on its way to you. It will ship between Oct 16th to Oct 20th which is when it will be in shipping status and is set to deliver between Oct 19th to Oct 21st which is when it will be arriving at your address. Therefore, the latest it will ship(be on its way to you) is tomorrow which will make this arrive just in time by your delivery dates.

Wow your chat was helpful. I tried to chat to get any tiny amount of info from them after seeing someone here on the forum get told theirs was being assembled in a US warehouse. Anyway I was basically told my delivery date is the 27th and and Apple is working on it...

Are all the iMac's assembled in the US now?
 
:( still processing this morning. I hope it ships today so it gets here tomorrow! I got the next day delivery option with a date of 10/20 - 10/22 so hopefully it comes on the early end of the scale hahaha
 
They told me they are built both in the US and China.........

They looked mine up via order number and confirmed mine is being built in the USA.

Yea, ordered first day they were announced. Still sitting here. Getting a bit antsy. Was I supposed to get some sort of Apple Care notice? Nothing so far.
