Am I the only one care what text size it would be on the screen when zoomed out? Thickness never concerns me, although thinner and lighter definitely gets a plus when travelling while not needing bleeding edge performance.

I’m interested in this for one reason and one reason only - I refuse to buy a pastel-colored, white keyboard and bezel MBA next year. I’m glad the smaller MBPs now clearly cater to people that can use the power, I can’t, but I guess I’ll sign up for this beast if they don’t deliver a proper space gray MBA with next year’s redesign.

I just compared specs of the 16” MBP with specs on my 2015 15” retina MBP. You people calling the 16” chunky must have never owned the 2015 model because the 16” still isn’t as thick as the 2015. WTF?!? People, you all need to recalibrate. This thing isn’t thick or chunky. Besides, I’ve listened for 5 years to people denigrating Apple and Jonny Ive form over function BS and now you’ve got what you wanted and have the audacity to complain about it? GTFO. More Prosers.

Whats really bugging my OCD is the ACTUAL curve gradient of the notch to the edge of display of the MacBook Pro, it looks to square to me at the corners not like the iPhone that's more rounder (softer looking) and mirrors the opposite corner gradient of its display.

Then to further bug me the bottom edge of the panel has 90 degree corners ?

“Proper” Space Grey, what does that even mean. Apple gets to decide the design. Too many people here who want others to think they bought the pro grade laptop, and that pastel color will give you away. That’s really what this is all about.

Weird that people keep saying "too thick" and "looks chunky"

Didn't they hate how unnecessarily thin Macbooks have gotten over the last half decade? Do they not understand that thickness allows Apple to put more battery in a body? And all the ports they complained were missing?

Pick a lane!

Generic vs. recognizable

And when it becomes possible to hide all the sensors under the display the top right will become the top left which ultimately makes this a silly argument.

Every MacBook in history never needed a notch to be “recognisable” either. The Apple logo on the back was enough to show off in ads etc. Weird how it’s all of a sudden become an argument for the notch to make the MacBooks recognisable.

I love Apple products but a lot of people on here are completely brainwashed by Apple. So many trying desperately hard to justify the notch, going out of your ways and jumping through hoops defending their every decision as “the right thing”.

Not a really a looker IMO. I’m not a fan of the black keyboard background, looks much thicker than before since it is no longer tapered, and the notch just looks weird. However I’m ok with Apple following some function over form for a change.
That’s the thing, it’s not Jonny Ive but hell it’s not like we’re gonna marry it for it’s looks, just needs to be a kick ass laptop ;)

I saw that but if apps in “full screen” still leave the menu bar up top then content will be squared off.
