I think that all of these photographs are fake... and I mean every "leaked" iPhone '4G' photograph.

Why would Apple want to break the consistencies relating to the physical design of their products? Look at the notebook line-up; they look very similar.

Also, look at the iPad and iPhone (current); they also look similar.

Why would they immediately, and abruptly, halt this consistency in design?
Periodically, Apple makes quantum shifts in product design. Remember when they switched from the "iLamp" iMac (G4) to the now-familiar unibody design?

Same with the jump from the iPod classic to the iPod touch. Same with the short diversion with the "fatboy" nano. There are plenty of other examples in Apple product design history.

While you are free to think of these as fakes, the number and frequency of highly similar "fakes" is most easily explained thusly: these are prototypes that are very close to the next-generation design.

Sorry, the iPad looks much more like the 4G iPhone and iMac than any of the previous incarnations of the iPhone.

Really? You're saying the iPad looks more like one of these "leaked" photographs rather than an iPhone 3Gs, from the front?

I understand it looks more like some of these "leaked" photographs from the back of the device, but from the front, it looks more like an iPhone 3Gs.

In fact, scratch my last post; because the iPad looks 50% iPhone 3GS/3G, and 50% "leaked" iPhone.
:apple:

Thank god there is yet another set of leaked iPhone 4GS photos to look at.
zzzzzzzzzz.

Awww it reminds me of vanilla yogurt! I might have to reconsider my color choice :D

I think he's suggesting that the white handset will be more popular amongst females than males.

Did you think he was suggesting something else?

I have seen FAR more males with the white iPhone than females. I also have a white iPhone and totally love it. The black one is so damn boring looking.

Side note, my wife wanted the black one ... hates the white one.

The camera on the back looks huge compared to the current revision. More than 5MP maybe?
I hope not. Low-light performance is far more critical than a couple extra megapixels, especially when the resolving power of a tiny lens is questionable.

It would be more useful to have better video recording performance (where the shutter speed is effectively reduced to 1/60 sec.).

Fine and dandy with the look of the new iPhone. I just hope they make some hardware things...better. Like a functional speaker phone!

Obviously. They must have lost it a long time ago when they started making everything in brushed metal since that was so un Apple like. Or maybe when they stopped making bright colors on their laptops and desktops was when they lost it since it was un Apple like. No wait. Perhaps it was when they stopped making a mouse shapped like a hockey puck. Maybe when they started making non computer consumer devices?

Anyone who says something new is un Apple like needs a crash course in Apple history.

When I say something like "its very un-Apple" I am talking about recent design trends with Apple and the consistency with those recent designs.

Regarding the seam I am not talking about the overall shape, I am talking about the hideous seam at the bottom. Show me another recently designed Apple device that has that large of a gap.

Some people...are morons...

...some people STILL think the design is fake. Some people think the seam is a design afterthought and wouldn't have been there if the design team had paid more attention. These people think the brushed aluminum bezel should sit flush with the front and back glass surround and refuse to believe it could be any other way. Some people don't like white. Others prefer a white back, but would rather the front remain black. Some people detest screws being visible.

The 4th generation iPhone is not for everyone.

I don't like it. It looks like a brick. I prefer the smoother, thinner design of the previous iPhones.

This is interesting. I like that I partly got what I asked for back when the white front was leaked. The back looks great even though the pictures are crappy and the plastic protective covering makes it hard to read the small numbers and letters on the back.

We'll see in 5 days ;)

There is one thing I observed... Apple is often criticized by community members. Some even go and say that "I won't buy it unless this and that". But I'm pretty sure these persons end up buying it anyways, when they realize that "it's not that bad after all".

As soon as Jobs says it's "cool" or "magical" or "amazing" they'll follow suit.

Question of the day... Will it drop calls, and give me more call failed?

In the past two years that I have used iPhone I have NEVER had a dropped call. I live in Europe, though. :) Sad that you have got such bad reception there..but it is not iPhone′s fault.

Its strange having a cell phone which doesnt have simcard:confused:
How can they operate then and what about if you are in abroad?

I think the info, which is on the SIM for GSM-devices, is directly stored in the phone.
Abroad? SOL. :D
