I have the White Slider and my Chrome Bezel is beginning to scratch because stuff still gets trapped in there... I guess its inevitable.

I have the protective case that they offer. I like the slider, but I like the grip and overall look with the pattern, but still not the 'stuff gets trapped underneath' deal - drives me up a wall. I take it off and wash it on weekends...

In the line of cases, does anyone know about any sort of possible inserts or something to put in the headphone jack (as I've not once used it) and maybe even in the 30 pin slot? I don't like the dust / debris getting in the little nooks and crannies - to the point where I take a corner of news paper to get stuff out of that miniscule gap where the screen and chrome meet.

Perhaps it's a bit of ocd talking, but just curious. -- Oh, that and a screen cover / film that includes the home button, without leaving an opening. Newspaper is a pain for there.

Looks very nice. Question - is this case the same thickness/bulk as the rubber incase (that stretches), or thinner/less bulky?

I have seen a case that comes complete with a dock cover... forget which one though. Griffen maybe?

I just received my Black Matte Incase Slider! It is soo AMAZING! 100% worth it's price! I love it!

anybody have any idea how long it generally takes for apple to offer a new case like this in their stores?

I was planning to get one but I was wondering one thing before I buy: Does the incase slider case get in the way of texting at all since it covers the chrome bezel?

that case def makes the iphone look a lot better. I owned it for 1 day. I got the black. Only problem is that it attracts fingerprints and great LIKE CRAZY.. i couldn't deal with it so in the end i just returned.

I'll still with my Agent 18 black iphone protector. it's also dockable

Two questions for those who have the Slider:

1) From the photos it looks like there a clear front window on the Slider. If this is true, does it look easy to remove--or it is molded/fused to the rest of the case? I like the look of this case, but wouldn't want dust and stuff to get trapped inside the case between the window and screen. The side and back protection would be enough for me.

2) For the matte black version--does the rubberized coating attract dust similar to silicone cases? I can't stand them, thus would like to know if the Slider texture has similar properties.

There is no clear window. It's an opening. The picture you saw might have had one of those Crystal clear or antiglare screen protectors on.

I have the white slider so I don't know your second question. I had the Seidio rubberized before, and it didn't attract too much dust. Though I liked the grip on the Seidio, I didn't like how it felt like it was restricted in movement when it was in my pocket.

For the guy asking whether the front got in the way of texting. No, I don't even notice it there, because the part covering the chrome is very thin. And it's beveled so that it's at its thinnest where it meets the glass.

There is no screen protector/ clear window.

If this companies already making it I dont see why Apple would mimic it.

sorry for the confusion... apple sells the other two incase sliders (i.e. white and glossy black) in their stores but the black matte has yet to appear... so i was wondering if anybody had any idea of the amount of time it took for these to appear in apple's stores, which could give a decent gauge as to how long it will take for the black matte version to appear

i think he wants to know how long it takes apple to start offering newly-released cases (made by other manufacturers) in their online or physical stores, not whether or not apple will make one and start selling it...

The outside of the case is hard plastic, it's not rubberized, so no, it doesn't attract lint like my iSkin Revo did.

One thing I don't like about the black matte version is that it is more slippery in the hands than the white or glossy black version. It doesn't really attract fingerprints though, so that's the upside.

Thanks for the replies all--looks this is the case I've been looking for :D

Unfortunately, I talked with an Incase customer rep today and their initial run of Slider cases was just a limited batch to gauge demand. Due to overwhelming interest, they're currently in production but may not be available again for a least a week, possibly several. They also plan to drop ship to Apple, but the rep said that due to the Apple Store distribution chain it could be in retail up to two weeks after it's back on Incase's website.

???? Every post I've seen said the benefit of the matte is it helps with the grip. Wow...now I'm really confused.
