What if all these rumors are fake and Apple is coming out with a game console!

Hi res graphics/display
Quick load times
Fast CPU/GPU
Large library of titles for young and old, (especially at launch)
Connection to HD TV (AirPlay)

If it looks the same as the iPad 2, how will anyone know I upgraded?

Are you that shallow that you need people to know that you upgraded?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A406 Safari/7534.48.3)

FAKE! I can assure you that the iPad 3 has no home button. Believe me...

It uses multi-touch gestures.

This is no joke Im serious.

If what you are saying is true then you, or someone who told you, or someone who told someone else who told you, just broke their NDA with Apple.

Apple's worst product secrecy - EVER.

LOL! Yes it does seem that the leaks are getting worse with each product update.

disappointed with rumors....the thing i want to know is the CPU and GPU, storage and RAM.
Tell me thizz.

Man

I was wishing it would fold up,
have a slide out keyboard,
built in cup holder,
come in the color pink,
come in the size 7.5,
have a 512 gb option,
have no home button,
and be $200 dollars cheaper.

I'm really disappointed :apple: maybe next year you'll make me :D but for now I'm

Yep, the rumors are correct, but only partially...
iPad 3 will actually have no less than two home buttons, possibly three.
This info comes from VERY reliable source in North Korea.
Also, it will come with A5XSW single core processor which is clocked at whooping 500 MHZ.
Truly magical, can't wait...

White and Black options? Wow never expected that!

Now that know the iPad 3 is the iPad 2 with a nice screen and little faster CPU..

..bring on the MacBook Pro news.. PLEASE!!!

Well, if it's sarcasm, he should have used smileys. That's what they're for.

Sarcasm often isn't communicated well in print, partly when non-native speakers are involved and there are readers from countries where sarcasm is less used.

Without a doubt, tech rumor sites attract a large readership of international folks, so sarcasm in American English should be carefully exercised, again with the use of smileys as a hint of what the writer's intent is. In live verbal communications, there are often enough other cues that helps the listener determine if sarcasm is being used.

Have a nice day.

:D

I would actually agree with that. No Argument here.

Rumors are disappointed with you. If you want to know, get on the plane to china and go make one for me, and smuggle an email out to me so I can still not wait to buy one.

Honestly, they may have just shopped the home button out of the invitation for a "cleaner" look. No one's going to not know it's an iPad because the home button isn't where it should be.

I can see them moving the iPad into iPhone-sales-strategy land, and offering the iPad 2 (maybe in black only) at a $100-150 discount, justifying a slightly increased price for the new one if that's what it comes to...

I agree with the shopped statement, it seems the invitation was touched up a bit, because I proved that the iPad in that photo was indeed in portrait mode and not landscape- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzfdkbgUf0I

too bad, the home button is useless as it is. I never use it on my iPad 2. At least make it light up when u get a not, kinda like bb so its of some use at least

I was thinking of something like that, if it does go buttonless, at least make a tron like outline of it when ever the screen is on.

This is what happens without Steve at the helm. Everyone knows that Apple will release a new iPad around this time of year anyway.

The iPhone 4 was the worst security ever, and Jobs was still with the company then. It has nothing to do with Steve being gone.

It has everything to do with having to work with more and more partners to bring 10's of millions of these things to market for launch.

It's easy to hide 30 iPads, less so 30 million.

Definitely glad for the home button. There are still some apps that can run into usability issues when the task Gestures are turned on. In particular, some music creation tools which often have people use 4 or more fingers on the screen and don't want to accidentally task switch or pull up the task bar while trying to use it. Garageband is a definite tool for which I often turn task Gestures off in using it, thus the home button is the only way out.
