It's the internals that seem to be upgraded.

Just like the iPhone 4s.

Maybe the iPad 4 will lose the home button???

Apple is moving to a Tick Tock strategy

iPhone 3G - iPhone 3GS
iPhone 4 - iPhone 4S

Leopard - Snow leopard
Lion - Mountain Lion

iPad 2 - iPad 2S?

Yea, but any chance this is just the new 8gb iPad2 screen and the iPad 3 will still be buttonless?

Apple TV 3

That's a Television

Apple are masters of misdirection.

I think the image is of a TV with iOS in 1080p on it.

The question is how did it get there.

Is it from an Apple TV unit running iOS? Or a mobile iOS device sending its display through an Apple TV in 1080p?

Further, how is it controlled? This question leads me to believe that the AppleTV is getting upgraded to 1080p and the image shown is a mobile devices iOS screen displayed wirelessly through AppleTV to an HDTV.

I just don't understand why people think that the products in the ads are actual products. The product is often photographed (and then highly edited), although sometimes it is a 3D creation. The screens are always simulated for the highest visual quality. No home button is not a surprise here.

On second thought, for all we know this could just be a photo of the iPad 2.

If it looks the same as the iPad 2, how will anyone know I upgraded?
So what?

I have an iPhone 4S which looks exactly like the previous model since I use a bumper with it. I couldn't care less about what anyone else thinks of my phone.

Besides, iPhones are a dime a dozen here on the SF Peninsula. It's not like I'm going to impress anyone with a smartphone. Same with the iPad or e-book readers. Not a big deal.

I would assume that if there were an 8GB base model, it would only be available in black. Seems unlikely to offer variations for the "budget" model.

Are you sure it's worse than iPhone 4's case? ;)

True :) I just can't believe the actual screen was out so early. Photo leaks taken by someone in-house is one thing. But the actual screen, essentially - let's say "liberated", and floating around for even this site to physically possess and examine, I find amazingly lax. To me, that is THE key component of the iPad 3 upgrade (if true).

I had a coworker bring in an iPad and told me that Apple makes software that is too complex. She looked through every option in the settings and couldn't find a way to control her volume. She was angry and ready to sell it.

I showed her the volume controls on the side.

Somehow, one of her rich relatives all buy an iPad 3 for her and it will be wasted.

If all of these parts published on different sites came to be true, I will be very, very dissappointed as Apple looses its discrecy thing and month before presentation we can build up a whole new device from leaked parts.

Anyway, the ONLY thing we can really trust now is an image on ad, as all other stuff is not confirmed by Apple and are just in one bag called RUMORS.

So everything is possible.
