New iPad Mini Begins Shipping to Customers

When I was a young kid, it took me awhile before I could see the S in the Superman logo. For whatever reason, my brain was focused on the yellow shapes and ignored the red S. Have no idea why.

I thought it was "BurBer King" until I could start to read in 2nd grade. When I realized it was "BurGer King" I remember thinking to myself "man, that makes a lot more sense."

The mini is super-popular with small plane pilots. Because of aviation map sizes, and the need for GPS, every pilot will buy the $800 model.

The one and only thing that makes me hesitant to get one is the low base storage and the unnecessary jump to 256 (at least for me unnecessary).

Yeah, I was really torn. Cellular is a must have in my case and that already brought the price up significantly. But 256 is over kill on this device for my use case and would have made the price out of line. I would have definitely gotten 128 if it were offered though.

Delivery tomorrow. It left China on 9/19, two days after my pre-order. BUT ON THE APPLE STORE PAGE it STILL SAYS “Preparing to Ship.” Good going APPLE! What is wrong with them??

There hasn’t been any legitimate ‘reviews’ yet. Those product demos that you’re seeing, are just more of a hands-on quick experience. They’re basically just showing you the highlighted features and the product itself, they’re not really ‘reviews’ from some of these more notable Youtubers.

You're wrong. There are videos about the iPhone 13 and iPad Mini 6 with the title "review".

Yup. We have two minis that are mounted on the yokes of our plane. We will almost certainly upgrade to the mini 6. I just need to change out the panel charger to one that is USB-C.

I don't like to carry a big iPhone in my pocket all the time (I have iPhone 12 Pro) and I want something that's small enough to bring around if I want to. I have a 12.9 inch iPad Pro, but it's quite unwieldy and always stays home. iPad mini is just the perfect portable companion to my iPhone.
