Hopefully the new Apple VR Goggles will allow Apple to see where they're going in the future. So many overlapping products and just stupid design choices.

yep. exactly what i was thinking. they could’ve moved all ipads to 2nd gen (better for their environmental scheme less shipping etc) and not to mention this will cause more broken/lost adaptors even if they are included

This made me laugh out loud. True entertainment. Here the whole community of us thought the change to flat sides was for the sole purpose of ditching and forgetting about the first gen pencil.

Wouldn't it have been easier, more elegant to simply make the new ipad 10 gen (2022) compatible with the Apple pencil (2 gen) instend of the apple pencil (1 Jan 2015)???
Looking at the updates today, they all follow the same theme: No single product is allowed to just be good. It has to be compromised in some way.
At least they offer the option to finance it at 75¢/month for a year.
Even for Apple this is extremely embarrassing and unacceptable. They priced this $120 more than the old gen and couldn't thrown in some cheap magnets?
I’m gonna do the $.75 a month for 12 months on the new adapter. That’s a bargain instead of the full 9$
I'm flabbergasted by this decision. And the dongle they made is terrible. You still need a male to male USB-C cable. So to charge the pencil, you need the cable and the dongle. Absolutely ridiculous.
