One of the rumors is that there will be a 4-pin smart connector. I really hope its in the same location as the current 3-pin connector so accessories don't break. Be really nice and environmental of Apple to do that.

I'd be surprised if that was true.

I have lol but it seems that I'm not the only one who thinks the profile is fishy.
We need an actual Apple event for all these announcements.

Have you never been passionate about anything? Why do you find it necessary to "rain on her parade?" If her posts bother you that much, just mute her posts.

Fishy would be an understatement. So much of that account's posting (still on the fence if human, humanoid, or full AI) are contradictory vs. its/her/his earlier posts and written as if translated on-line.

Also, when Apple was knee-deep in EU legal poop, this account with an alleged "Master's Degree • Master of Science" advocated for Apple to voluntarily leave a market. On what intellectual (human) level would that make any business sense?

Lastly, the "@TheYayAreaLiving" in the signature doesn't appear to be anywhere on-line other than one post on DevianArt.

Fishier than an aquarium - just my $0.02

You don't "need" anything other than food, water, and shelter.
No doubt you want an event, however, the drama in the vast majority of your posts (which I still think is a bot) is quite cloying.
Elaborate on the "Bot" comment please. Someone else stated that same thing about that poster a while back as well with no examples or evidence.

I’m interested to see how much heavier the iPads will be with the magsafe/charging/glass(?) addition. The whole “new 4-pin connector for peripherals” rumor seems to have vanished like it never happened, and that was what enticed me the most. 2018 iPad Pros still going strong.

Curious what the new iPad Pro will really do over the current one.. We don’t even have stage manager working yet for the m1..
That’s why I bought a 2021 at a $200 discount. If the M2 isn’t much different I’ll keep the 2021. It would take them adding another USB C posit and improving the display for me to buy the new one. Also a little worried about my magic keyboard not being capable with the new one.

I have a feeling that the iPad 10th gen is going to be almost identical to the iPad Air (M1, stereo speakers, 3 pin connector), and that this year's iPad Air will be the last one. The current Air is too similar to the 11-inch Pro, which probably hurt sales for the Pro this year.

If my guess is right, the price will probably be somewhere between the current iPad Air, and iPad 9th gen.

Makes sense for all iPhones to have A chips, and all iPads get M chips. Base model gets M1, Pros get M2 (and better features like 120hz, wireless charging, more ram, etc.

Tomorrow we get to see where we are at with betas maybe RC against iPadOS 16 and Ventura. So even if these rumors don't pan out those being released are closer.

True. But Apple needs several steps on its iPad value/price ladder to make you understand how big a value iPads Pro are compared to the budget and mid-tier options.

Apple isn't streamlining any lineups but segmenting them as strategically as possible to sell you up on spending more next to you buy a new device.

Selling you up doesn't work when you compress two separate products into one.

It's the same reason why Apple will never put out an iPad that overlaps in features, ports and specs with a MacBook, and why Apple's many pro apps most likely will never land on iPads.
This is why my 12.9” iPad Pro may be may last one. The only reason for me to buy a new one would be if they launched a larger one for a bigger media consumption device. My wife and I use my 12.9 for movies white a bit.

Do you have an iPhone? If so, why would you need an iPad with cell connectivity?
Likely so you wouldn't have to own both a iPad plus a iPhone. I suggested a iPad mini promotion display with cellular capabilities. Do we need to be told that you have to have both forever?

The original knowledge navigator concept was a AI based tablet with phone capabilities. Still not there because of this forced product separation by the industry. Shake them up Apple.

Let’s go, new iPad Pro! I’m waiting for a new 11”. I’m still rocking a 2017 2nd 12.9” and I almost caved on a 2021 but I figured I could wait a month. It’s been a long month…

I'm hoping for the moved smart connector to enable a new Magic Keyboard V2. Ideally it would keep the "old" position and just add in the new one on the edge, but knowing Apple they will just drop the backward compatibility.

The magic keyboard is great for using your iPad in laptop mode, but it is so cumbersome to just use the iPad as an iPad. In some ways having it makes the iPad worse - because when I have it and am not using it, it takes up a ton of desk space and a lot of bag weight. If I don't have it, then that is when I want to type on a keyboard. So I'd really like something like the old Smart Keyboard that could be completely folded over, or just completely removed without having to open it up.
