Ofcourse, it's not impossible. If this person wants his 15 minutes of fame, he went through a lot of trouble for it. The autofocus and video recording pictures would've sufficed to get a thread here.

Btw, if anyone can find the picture seen in the compass app, I'm convinced that this is a hoax.

Its doesn't look like a lot of work to me, all the pics are blurry and i can make a website like his in an hr or less.

Maybe i need to take a pic of my 3g and say "here's the new 3rd gen touchscreen glass" in my 3g, apple wanted to me to conceal it so people wont notice it.

The reason the pictures are blurry (if this is true) is because the pictures are taken with another iPhone.

Ah well, it's useless discussing about these pictures anyway since it will in no way advance the coming of the new iPhone :). We'll see if this is authentic in a week or so.

that picture is obviously fake..and a really bad one.. and these photots are NOT screen shots such as you posted..they are pictures of the iphone in use.

I know school is out, but find yourself a keg and relax. I agree with you that these are most likely legit.

Someone asked why the big debate over the battery indicator. And I said it could be an indication that the photos are faked - it's extremely easy to fake an iPhone application. I didn't say they were fake, but that's the debate.

Since my brief screenshot didn't trigger your imagination of how it'd be used, I've decided to humor you and I've taken the 5 minutes to do just that - fake an iPhone 3.0 auto-focus camera application.

But now that I think about it, the fact that the source of these photos is using current hardware and then makes excuses for it makes me wonder... Is this legit after all?

It'd be much easier if the guy just uploaded a YouTube video where he demonstrates the working autofocus :p

i didnt start an account to post in this thread...
but one thing I have definitely noticed since I started an account on here a few weeks ago...every single thread is full of children whining about one thing or another..constantly attacking everyone else..
i would go ahead and list a few threads as references...but that would be pointless. you can go into literally EVERY forum link from the homepage and find the idiocy that we see here.
i am completely blown away by the maturity level of this forum.
as you can see by my past posts...several of them have been on this topic.
amazing how a quality site/forum can be brought down by adolescent users.
the general was very mature and made his points in a completely logical manner...i commend him for (trying) to conquer the rampant uninformed stupidity around here.

^^nice photoshop!
