I guess I'm at the boundary where maybe an iPad mini and a dumb phone might be the next move once my 5C dies.

You say that now, but iMessage can be a sticky beast and today's iPad Mini form factor is just not pocketable. An iPad Nano, perhaps, with 2015's redesign...

Please, this guy is not a designer. He may be a great 3D modeller, the render´s quality is great, but the design...

get rid of the home button all together. i love the on screen buttons on my nexus 5

i like the design as well. the moved power button and headphone jack not so much

Oh my, that render is positively stomach churning. The bubbly curves.. it looks horrible.. and what's with the curved display? Why would anyone want the front display to have any type of curvature?

Oh yeah, B&O actually made a "banana phone". Here's a nice ripe bunch:

Not to mention their fantastic cellphone :p

It is, isn't it? And for some reason it reminds me of cafe noir biscuits:

Yummy, lickety lick.

But seriously people, relax; how often do these mock-ups turn out to be accurate on release day? I'm confident, based upon past history, that the final design hitting store shelves, will be eagerly received by the masses, far and wide, and I'm eagerly awaiting that day myself.

All these renderings are interesting to look at, but should be taken with a healthy dose of salt.

I kind of like it. Hypothetically, if this were to be something similar to the final version, it would be interesting to see if iOS changes make it so items just "flow" from page to page. However, it would seem case makers would have a hard time not interfering with the edges of the screen.

But if all the rumors are true about "curved displays", I think this example seems most plausible. I'm not quite sure about concave/convex screens unless there is another way to have a "curved display" that doesn't resemble this example.

We already know it will not look like that based on the leaks and the pallets of glass fronts stacked in a warehouse. Those screens looked legit to me.

Apple Iphone 6 News New Curved Display.

Like everything else changes help some and hurt others.
The Curved display in no different. Some customers will love it and others will hate it. Apple is just testing to see if they can increase sales. If it flops they will change or modify the change.

If it flops, you'll never know it. You'll keep seeing the "record breaking sales" headlines. Like death and taxes, this is something you can be sure of.

Personally, I'll be upgrading to whatever is out in 9 months when my iPhone 5 contract is up. I don't really care if it has curved glass or not. I just want it to work. I still have lots of problems with my 5, notably with touch registration being way off (requiring a power off/on), Visual Voicemail regularly not working, inability to record a personal greeting (regularly), Voicemail saying I am on Speaker, but is playing through the earpiece, etc., etc. Some of this may be AT&T, not sure. Regardless, the "Apple Experience" isn't that great this time around.

Regarding the larger (5.5") iPhone having battery/display issues? Why? A big phone can take a big battery. My Lumia 1520 (my play-with phone), lasts a few days, has a 6" screen, is incredibly thin, and has a screen more pleasing than the Retina on my iPhone 5. It's not rocket science.

See iPhone 5c

Not really on point. The 5c was supposed to be about having a product that people in many third world countries could afford... not about apple trying to make a few extra dollars. My point is that the 5S, or whatever their current flagship model, would not have cost saving sacrifices.

Need to spread a few more of these 'beautiful' (read horrible) mockups, to bait shamesung copycats and make sheet out of it.
