If this is the anniversary iPhone, we have been waiting for, then it will be the biggest disappointment, Apple has come up with. No major redesign, another bigger more annoying protruding camera as a "wart", antenna bands again, glossy scratch-o-phil back surface, and the phone just gets bigger and bigger without anyone asking for that. The ridiculous Fingersensor on the back, wich easily could have been integrated to the Apple logo, just is the tipping point. I WON'T BUY!

Apple does not do its homework. They are simply exchanging components for more advanced ones but they are not really improving the product. I see no leap forward. And I think, Apple is not only to LAZY but also to AFRAID to come up with real innovation. Tim wants to "play safe" ant that is why his products suck. Big time!

My iPhone 6 still does its job for almost 2 years now, I can still use it for another one. But I still get annoyed by its unnecessary big size and the ugly wart.

All i hope for is an improved SE, that matches the specs of the 7 or 8, however my dream phone would be an SE with edge to edge OLED, Home button on front, 256 GB storage and the best integrated camera.

It's really simple Apple, just make an iPhone4S with new guts and TouchID(on the front!).

And if it does end up looking like that... the iPhone seems to getting uglier as the years go by.

Yeah, take that design, upgrade it and refine it. For me that is so far the most beautiful iPhone, it was easy to drop though but in the year and so that I used it I never really damaged it.

I'm still not buying Touch ID on the back. It's just not ergonomic, and it doesn't seem like something Apple would do. Obviously I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

How would that even work as a home button? Pushing against the back with your index just wouldn't work. The thumb works because you're pushing the phone against your palm.

It's not ergonomic in the implementation on the Galaxy 8 for sure. However, I could envision Apple thinking the centrist location shown would be. :apple:

If they are going to move the Touch ID to the rear of the phone, why not just incorporate it into the Apple logo? It would certainly help reduce all the clutter on the rear of this dummy model.

Maybe the cut out in the back isn't Touch ID and has something to do with wireless charging instead?

Please?

"All u gotta do is press the Apple button" :)

Not feeling that version, it's not like i can't stay with my 7 plus for another year , long enough for them to shake out an on screen touch id , if that isn't in the cards for this version

I'm not sure why everyone thinks Touch ID on the back would be unergonomic.

It might actually be a better place to put Touch ID than the home button - seems like thats near to the spot where my index finger naturally rests when holding my iPhone 6.

they put the charger port in the bottom of the mouse and making it unusable when charging at this point i won't be surprised if the touch id is in the back of the device and the 7plus camera sideways looks ugly af

Touch ID will not be at the back, im 100% confident on this.

Firstly, all the user reviews for reverse touch id on other phones have lambasted it -terrible user experience and also....

Secondly, this will ruin the cover/case market and further alienate the user experience. Cases will ned a hole in the back which will a) ruin any creative designs people want and b) there will be 1-2cm deep hole meaning you can't get your finger on the bloody thing.

I would not put it past Apple, they do sometimes make some very messy designs. Wireless Magic Mouse that you cannot charge and use at the same time due to charging port being on the bottom as one recent example. For those who have never seen this fail, this is it. http://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Magic-Mouse-2-teardown-iFixit-001.jpg

The majority of us iPhone owners are accustomed to having Touch ID on the front of the phone. While I'm not completely against having Touch ID on the back, I would still prefer Apple come up with a way to keep it on the front of the phone.

Like some other users mentioned, if the design of these dummy units hold true, then I am certainly not impressed at all. Although I'm going to hold judgment until Apple actually introduces the new models in September (or later).

It works on the back. Other companies have it on their phones. You don't have to "push", just rest your finger there. That said, it doesn't work as well on the back and I don't think Apple will put it there.

lol these are embarrassing.
when you see devices like Galaxy S8..these iPhone leaks look so dated and inferior.
looks foolish tbo almost laughable.
If people like Apple, they will stop buying their products. One for the obvious reason it sends a message, but twofold because of how many iPhones they need to manufacturer they take over 2 years to implement any wanted features like wireless charging and waterproofing. We won't see any major design changes until after the 8 and 8s drop.

ive thought of something else - quick access to Wallet and Apple Pay.
I and many others i know love the double click of the home button to use wallet.
Can you imgine the clumsiness if this was on the back????
