This is why they have wired headphones with a lighting port.Oh boy this is going to be a long thread. Doesn't Apple realize that not everyone can afford their wireless airpods? That dongle will be get lost trust me.
No one is forcing use of a dongle. Lightning earbuds included and customers can always buy inexpensive wireless headphones or more expensive wireless headphones if they want to join the wireless future. I've never touched my included dongle and have yet to see anyone I know use their dongle. Strange how every single commenter on the Internet is begrudgingly using a dongle.because a dongle is sooooooooo high tech
There is an entire market of cheap Bluetooth headphones I’ve seen some as low as $8 on amazon. Not to mention each phone would come with lightning headphonesNo 3.5mm headphone Jack, unlikely. The SE is a cheap phone *mainly* for poorer countries. Wireless earphones are still relatively expensive.
If they aren't changing the form factor to make it significantly thinner, there is zero good reason to remove the headphone jack. Zero.
Charge wirelessly. Problem solved.Fantastic! Now instead of listening to music and charging my phone, I get the privilege of either listening to music or charge my phone! #thinkdifferent
They couldn't go A11 on the 2018 iPad since the current iPad Pros have the A10X.I guess the iPad 2018 is a strong indicator that they indeed are going to cheap out on the SoC.
Hello, 2012.
What a dumb idea to release a fourth version of iPhone 5.
This proves Apple is not a forward thinking progressive company post Steve Jobs’ death.
Release something innovative in 4 inch size.
Very sad.
No if a headphone jack is that important to a consumer there are several over manufacturers that will give you one. I haven’t used the jacks since before I bought the iPhone 3GSThere should be an FCC requirements for all iphones to have a head phone jack.
The original SE got the most up to date chip. iPhone 6s had the A9, the SE got the A9 six months later.

Apple wasn't right. Bluetooth headphones are old tech; they had been out for more than a decade. If they were a replacement, it would have happened long ago. But nobody used them until Apple forced it.I came here expecting 100 comments about removing the headphone jack being the end of the world. I'm pleasantly surprised that's not the case. I guess Apple was right and we got over it.

Same. I ditched my 5 only because it broke (not my fault) and heavily regret the 6 I got when the SE wasn't out yet. Some family members are retiring working iPhone 5s and 5ss (idk how to pluralize these things), so I might just take one of those.HUGE bummer if Apple removes the headphone jack. At this point they'd just be removing it to remove it. Pft.
I was honestly considering this for my next phone. I have a 5.7" phone right now and sometimes long for my old iPhone 5. Loved that form factor. We'll see.
This article seems to be in disagreement on this. Apparently the majority of post 6S iPhone buyers don't care enough for it to have them drop Apple iPhones; however, it would appear that most current buyers would actually prefer that the headphone jack be included. It may particularly be negatively affecting sales outside Western markets. As to folks who complain about the lack of the jack, it's not arrogant to express disappointment with design "features" produced by a company that traditionally produced products for the artistic/creative community, which includes audiophiles who still value the wired option. This also applies to decisions to remove still useful ports from the Mac line (though they still sport the 3.5 jack).

Same design from 2012? Ugh. That's just lazy. They could have easily updated the body to a more current design.
