Making iPhone ads will be challenging because the device serves multiple purposes. The iPod ads have been aimed at youth culture. I wonder if they'll aim iPhone ads at the slightly older business crowd. Which is most important: being cool or being practical?
True. And the style of the Hello advert had me thinking they werent going the iPod route with the iPhone - however it could just have been a one off for a formal evening like the Oscars.
I think the iPhone should be marketed in the same, youthful, edgy fashion that the iPod is. I dont really want goofy, Get A Mac style ads. Given the price, you want people to lust after this device, not see it as just a practical device.
