I don't think English will ever be a Universal language.. Culture opposes it, and culture is strong in big parts of Europe. (Although not Norway, unfortunately.)

Still think norwegian AppleStore pages being english results in fewer sales, though..

Wow, waaaaay off topic but I feel I have to say the following:

Personally I don't want English to become some kind of European wide language, just as I don't want England to be controlled by European's, as it is becoming.

I promise to shut up about it now.

It's always been like that. You have to select which store to go to because the UK and Ireland have the same Apple website but different currencies (€ and £). This is just the store selection page.

It only happens the first time, then it is stored as a cookie on your computer.

yea but I am seeing some updates, such as the news ticker is showing how "iTunes rated best download music service in the 2004 digital music awards." or something similar. When I try to go to the ireland link, which I did before, it takes me to the Apple Store.

So they are updating their site. I posted that PDF because it just came up randomly when i was surfing apple.com

The attached image was what I just spotted by clicking the Choose Store link. Australia isn't on it (that's why I feel like posting it).

I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed the new countries you can select from at the bottom of the iTMS. The list now includes: Austria, Belgium, Finland, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain. Hmm.

Webcast of the music event?

Does anybody know whether there will be a webcast of the event?
There is no notice in the Apple events corner of the QuickTime section on apple.com though.
Just wondering...

Another cry wolf? That must be fake too because all the country names are in English except for Germany, which uses Deutschland, the German name. 😉

Currently, this is what I get, which is how it's been on the choose store page since June 15th 2004...

ok, sorry mcb. Apple must just be messing around ready for updates. Still strange that Germany isn't in English when all the others are though... also looks like European countries only...

Finland now showing up with other countries at 99 cents.

Apologies if now old news but server seems to be overloaded with expectant people checking in.

Notice the two empty spots bellow US? Yeah, that's what I thought too.

Anyway, so far it looks like I'm on track, with a pan euro store & guarantee for a Auzzie and Canada store before the end of the year.
