That's a fake screenshot. 1. His internet isn't even on, 2. The Music icon is WAY off, 3. The two buttons on either end are two different shades of grey.

I dont think any is bothered about the screenshot, just more bothered about if its going to come i november or if its gonna get delayed another month.

an hour or less till the moment of truth.. hopefully we get some news today, either its out or a delay annoucement

In that guys picture "Songs, Albums, Artists, Genres, Playlists, and Radio" are all off center when looking at the pictures on Apple's site.

Can we stop discussing that fake screenshot? It's some dumb Russian kid looking for attention, don't give any to him.

I'm guessing it will be released by 1PM EST toda

Something I've noticed is that each week, you keep declaring that it's out by 1:00EST or it won't be out at all that day, and then a few hours later someone says again that past versions have been released into the evening, and then you start posting about hope again (and you're not the only one).

So again, past versions have been released later in the evening, so even if it's not out by 1:00EST it could still be released today.

Of course it may not be released today, or tomorrow, or this month and may be pushed back again. But this 1:00EST or bust is nonsense.

they better not release a iOS 6.1 beta and thats all today  seems like the pattern lately, updates for everything but iTunes.

Previous updates have released later than that as well, so that's not a good metric to go by.

and those updates came late because of the keynotes that took place during the day.

----------

Where are people getting this from? Apple doesn't have a schedule.

indeed they don't; their software team is full of idiots who can't even get an iTunes update done on time (an update that only brings UI changes )

Oh really? So can you tell me where the Up Next feature is iTunes 10.7? How do I search my library while in the mini player mode? Where's the built-in iCloud support? Yep, no new features in this iteration.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it will be out when it's out. If its not out at exactly 10 PST then that doesn't mean it won't be out at all that day. I think it's silly to predict when iTunes 11 will drop based on perceived patterns.

We don't know what the changes are. I doubt very much it's just a UI overhaul. If it wasn't an extensive overhaul I highly doubt it would have been delayed.

and those 'features' are so ground-breaking and revolutionary that it's worth a .0 update right?

people like you are the reason why apple thinks it's okay to release incremental garbages like iOS 6 and still has the guts to call it the 'most advanced mobile OS'

I know its probably nothing, but I keep getting errors when trying to update my apps...

Edit: All working now.

I think you'd be happier with an Android. All kinds of useless bells and whistles to satiate your hunger for "revolutionary features".

The new version is a ground-up rewrite to enable multithreading and gets rid of a lot of legacy code. It's possibly the largest update they've ever done.

I don't know, maybe I'm over-thinking this but, suddenly over 30 apps on iTunes are now asking to be updated... usually every night it's 3, 4 or even 5.
it might be just coincidence.

Please, I don't need you to recommend mobile OSes to me, I know exactly what each offers.

I don't expect revolutionary features with every release, but iOS 6 broke more features than it added and that's pretty sad for a huge tech company like apple.
