Let me guess, it is complete garbage because none of your favorite artists are in there? This list was complete garbage. Who would pay for a book like this?

Yeah, I find it cringe and out of touch. The front facing image being all about “Apple” and “Apple Music” and not the music itself makes it too corporate too.I love music, I love books, I enjoy using Apple Music, but this whew...I can see why there are such rabid anti-apple peopole.
Are they? The cover does look high quality, but the next picture looks like just like a book?Would make a nice Christmas gift!Assouline books are gorgeous.
Oh for ****s Sake......But does it come in Aluminum?

High time for Elon to buy it out🤣What is Apple doing? Seriously! They are more and more like the Apple before Steve Jobs returned and saved it. They have enough things to fix and work on but they found the time to do a crappy ugly book.
This kind of thing is what rich people love to own. There’s definitely a market for it. When I was a teen I did computer work in rich people’s houses and they looooved to show off their rare and expensive coffee table books.
They also will drop $30k+ at used book stores to have a library in their house populated for the look.
Apple nowadays unfortunately itself is waaay too much “anti-Apple” and out of touch. It seems like in 5 years perspective they would be in the same position as in 1990s if they continue this path.I love music, I love books, I enjoy using Apple Music, but this whew...I can see why there are such rabid anti-apple peopole.
If I was actually rich I would have invested in buying and collecting all the actual vinyl LPs, a decent player + acoustics and room treating instead of some wacky catalogue from Apple inc. with some absolutely tone deaf music tier. I mean, book doesn’t even offer those albums as a “free” addition to the book, QR codes would have been handy as wellThis kind of thing is what rich people love to own. I’m wealthy by most standards and I don’t consider this cheap by any means of hindsight. It’s idiotic.Exactly, this is actually pretty cheap in hindsight.
As Apple Music is barely a thing, and most likely won't ever become one, that simply won't happen.Say what you want, but these will be going on eBay for double and triple that price a couple years from now.
That's actually not a mistake as the artist/label was spelling it both ways, with and without and "e" at the end, and never being consistent in the marketing for the album, the spelling used on official streaming platforms, album art, etc.You think they might have better proofreading — at least of the album titles — for that price.

Well, their “Designed By Apple In California” book goes for over $1k on eBay at times, so nothing would surprise me.As Apple Music is barely a thing, and most likely won't ever become one, that simply won't happen.
iTunes was a thing, a hugely popular and beloved cultural "institution" that, to a large extent, managed to bridge the gap between the analogue ways of buying music and the convenience of illegally pirating music.
Apple should have done this kind of book while iTunes was still the coolest way to buy and listen to music, and iTunes releases and charts had the World buzzing.
At the of iTunes popularity, Apple could have done this kind self-congratulatory book and easily sold it for $999.
This book, on the other hand, will never become a collector's item. And if it does then only because of how obscure and cringeworthy the concept is.
Also, doing these kinds of "this is good taste in music" types of lists doesn't fly in 2024: Mono-culture, like we in the TV and radio era, was definitively dead when streaming and social media took over. That's years ago now. Maybe a full decade, if you will.
Well, with the exception of this book which definitely sits at the top of Apple Fails: 100 Biggest Missteps in stores whenever.
