I also had problems with adding stuff to my cart but finally got the order in around 7:08am.

Yeah, I kinda want to trade-in one of my old iPads, but, for the price Apple’s offering, I think I’d rather sell it to someone that would be glad to have it. The benefit of the Apple “solution” is only no muss, no fuss.
Fuss and muss is really problem. eBay fees are 10 percent too. Dealing with non-paying bidders and people who claim that they never got the shipment. So, selling it yourself becomes a less attractive solution when you go down that road.

My issue is that if I'm going to be buying $1000+ worth of new equipment, $50 trade in isn't going to sway me. it wouldn't even save me the tax
Well, that's another problem…

People hold onto their equipment for way too long and then complain when it has no value left. Traded in a 2018 iPad Pro for a new M1 iPad and got $450 off the price. New iPad Pro 256Gb is only costing me $500.

Well. That's Apple fault for making stuff that lasts too long :p

honestly, my iPad Air was still perfectly usable until 12.4 got installed. than it became unusable due to being slow

(not complaining as given the age and the added features over the years).

But just saying that if Apple wants more trade ins, than being competitive with some of it, even if it's a littl emore than "market value" would definitely help move more people to buy newer equipment, which would likely make up whatever revenues lost by the increase trade ins.

when a trade in doesn't even yield 5% of the replacement value of a new item, especially when that trade in is likely going to have more than the trade in worht of just scrap materials. they're undervaluing the trade in.

Ordered the new Apple TV at 5am PST and says delivery is May 28 - June 3rd. ☹️
I guess I was too late to get it on launch day. Might cancel and buy in store.

Just checked my order status for iMac silver 16Gb/1TB order - First said shipping within 2-3 weeks and while ordering 21 - 28 may, order status now specifically says; it will be delivered 28 may.
I had the same thing, and so did my mate. We both ordered in the first couple of minutes, both got estimated delivery of 21–27th May, and then both got seemingly-precise arrival dates of 27th May in our account order summary.

Obviously I’m hoping that’s just Apple being conservative with its predictions, and we still have a chance of delivery on 21st… ;)

These slipping delivery dates have me wondering: do folks believe that Apple stores will sit empty of stock while these ordered devices are shipping, or would you actually do better by simply waiting until the end of May and walking into an Apple Store to buy what you want (knowing Apple will stock their own stores as a priority)?
I’m having the same thought. My Apple TV order says June even though I ordered at 5am.

Same here. In my experience Apple under promise and over delivers. For instance my Airtag was to be delivered somewhere end of next week, but I just got the UPS update that it has already been send out.

You really don't notice the weight once you've been using them for a while. I only noticed the heft when mine bit it and I picked up an Air to replace it.
Its not the weight its the dimensions. Just seems unwieldy to me for an on the move device..but to each's own.

Let hope this is another case of apple under promising and over delivering :). I am in the same situation. Ordered new Apple TV the second the site would allow me too and it now shows as delivering 27th May. Originally it said 21st-28th.

I’m hoping I can find someone in my local circle that were already looking into buying a used one and giving them a slightly lower price than that. :)

Congrats, that's fast for a custom order. I ordered the blue one with the same configuration (16GB ram, 1TB SSD) and mine's showing June 1-8.

Just ordered the new Siri remote. My ATV 4K is doing well, no need to upgrade that yet.
Delivery window is currently May 24 - June 1.

I got the iPad Pro 12.9 1TB + cell (sold my 2020 version through Craigslist last week in a day).

I wanted to upgrade my two ATV 4Ks but I am waiting for reviews. If there is no picture quality improvements or pass through audio then there is no benefit to upgrade for us.
We only use it for streaming services and nothing else like gaming (we prefer gaming consoles). So LG is doing a good job for now and ATV is used only for apps not available on LG.

Ordered a Yellow 8-Core GPU iMac with 16GB RAM/1TB SSD + Magic Mouse/Trackpad. My first iMac ever!! Those delays with the buggy checkout were awful though, it kept removing from my cart, I added it back about 8 times before it went through. Delivery showing May 21-27 for me. I thought about the iPad, I have a 2018 12.9 iPad Pro and I just can't justify the upgrade yet for my use case. Same with the Apple TV, I already have the 4K so not enough new for me to justify that. I think my next purchase will be an upgrade for my MBP when those come out.

Keeping it as a backup/guest device is the way to go. Play some of the JackBox Party games on TV where everyone connects via tablets or phones and you can use it then. Those games are pretty fun.
