New M1 iPad Pros, 24-Inch M1 iMacs, Apple TV 4K, and Siri Remote Now Available to Order

Do we need to provide any student ID after placing an order with education offer to Apple. Last time i sent a mail to apple with ID and order number for verification

Waiting for the posts about, waiting for hardware to start slipping bad over the next couple of days. If you need something get it soon. With the global chip problem, technology is going to be hard to get and prices are going up.

That almost never happens. Reviews are typically 3-5 days before the product hits customer hands. Not before preorders.
Finally upgrading from an Apple TV HD... My 4K Samsung Frame thanks me.
That was definitely a messy experience.
Usually they take the store down so I was kind of confused when 8:00 AM EST rolled around. However I added the following items to my bag:
- iPad Pro 12.9" 128 GB Wi-Fi/Cellular in Space Grey (eventually was forced to purchase the Silver 256 GB version)
- Apple TV 4K
- Apple Pencil (2nd gen)
- Magic Keyboard for the 12.9"
I ran into the same issues as others mentioned here -- my products got removed from my cart automatically and it said they were no longer available. This happened with the iPad Pro, Apple TV 4K, and even the Magic Keyboard multiple times. Eventually I was forced to get the Silver 256 GB version of the iPad Pro 12.9" because the 128 GB kept failing to add to my bag. It's not a huge deal but I would have preferred the Space Grey. Oh well... at least I was able to get everything I wanted and I still managed to get the estimated delivery window of May 21st - 27th! Very excited.

Last time I had to fill in an online form at Apple, this time not. Maybe they somehow remember from earlier purchases, who knows.
That AppleTV remote sure has some sharp edges. It looks like it would quite handily double as a paint-scraper or back scratcher.
Placed my order about 10 min after pre orders opened. Used the Apple Store app and all worked well until the credit card section. My Citi card kept getting rejected. Used my Apple Card and it worked instantly. 12.9 iPad Pro Cellular Space Gray 128 gig and the Magic Keyboard.
Maybe . But still i will share my ID and order number with them via email just for safer side. Who knows due to failed verification they charge the original amount
Exactly. I was going to order one but with a minimum wait of a month at best what’s the rush?
Siri remote has $8 shipping charge while the top of the cart shows "free delivery".
Ok that was messy but ordered the purple iMac, at first every step the delivery date moved up 3 weeks, but in the end I landed somewhere from 3 to 4 weeks haha. What a mess, iPad Pro and Apple remote should come quicker, maybe I should get a Mac Mini just for fun or wait for the M2 Macs, they will probably be announced by the time Apple is ready to deliver my iMac.

Do I think the new iMac is a good device for me? No. But I need to move on from my 2012 Mac Pro (some of my software's latest updates no longer support Mojave and it's getting more and more difficult to deal with) and this will be a stopgap that I can trade in when more serious systems are available.

I noticed the offers for $150-$200 on cellular but it appeared they were premised on signing up for recurring cellular plans. Been a while since I had an iPad with cellular but back then AT&T I think it was had a $15 plan that gave you X GB for 60 days or something (no contract). Are those type things still available? If I get another cellular-enabled iPad I don’t want to need to signup for $30+/month plans.
I saw a note somewhere that if you purchase with Apple Card and didn't pick the payments, you can do a chat through the wallet and they can change it for you.

These slipping delivery dates have me wondering: do folks believe that Apple stores will sit empty of stock while these ordered devices are shipping, or would you actually do better by simply waiting until the end of May and walking into an Apple Store to buy what you want (knowing Apple will stock their own stores as a priority)?
