For me its more than enough. Earlier i was using 128gb only and i was satisfied but this time i think 256gb will be sweet spot. Why 256GB only?
The higher capacity models started with later shipping dates. As of now it’s still possible to get the 128GB 12.9” model with a May 21-28 delivery window.By the time I got past all of the errors regarding “item no longer available”, my iPad slipped to June 9th-June 23rd.
I raise my glass to you. You have my condolences. Never imagined it would slip to June 23 on the first day. The first day!By the time I got past all of the errors regarding “item no longer available”, my iPad slipped to June 9th-June 23rd.
Maybe they could do that by calling it a Super-Pre-order. But if they are just looking for less demand all at once, I think they could separate their releases a little more. Make an entire week out of the release: iMac on Monday, Apple TV on Tuesday, Accessories Wednesday, Ipad Thursday...What is a potentially better way for Apple to do this pre-order thing?
Brutal solutions include:
Placing a $100 fee for a first-day pre-order would rapidly quiet down the rush, thin out the herd, if you will.
Yup, same.Apple has now added Free shipping for the Siri remote. I cancelled my first order and placed a new one to save the $8.
they never did, as far as I know. Maybe years ago they did?Don't Apple verify education discounts anymore? I order Mac's and iPad's using education discounts as my wife is a teacher but they don't seem to care about any additional verification anymore?
agreed, way less hassle, don't have to deal with scammers (yes I got a scammer who bought my MBP. Was a nightmare to work through)Also traded in my 12.9 pro 3rd gen 64gb and got $535 from Apple on a new 12.9 Pro. Could have probably low $600’s on eBay, but after ebays high fees, probably be about same. This was so much less hassle.
definitely could've gotten way more than that if sold locally. recently sold my 2020 11" pro for $700Also traded in my 12.9 pro 3rd gen 64gb and got $535 from Apple on a new 12.9 Pro. No, they can’t lol. This morning was a mess.`So they can do it without shutting down the store
I bought the iMac on the Education store. The price up front was like $100 cheaper. And then the upgrades were $180 to go up to the next level instead of $200... I believe. No discount on numeric keyboard upgrade or mouse/trackpad that I noticed.Don't Apple verify education discounts anymore? They randomly verify in North America. They do order audits sporadically. This is mentioned in the terms and conditions.Don't Apple verify education discounts anymore?
