wow thats more than I was expecting - one in the eye (blindsided) - looks so much better.

and BTO 8GB option - finally!

(gonna go sit n wait for the 'what no i3/i5 threads.....)

🙂

Pretty unexpected! Love the new design, and HDMI is very nice. This makes the Apple TV less of a good buy at this point...

Same here...

The new design is cool, but 2GB RAM is pointless really..

Yea, but this bad boy can go up to 8 GB now and is user-expandeable without voiding warranty. These alone offset the initial RAM limitation for me. 🙂

It's also $100 more. Why is their cheapest Mac getting a price hike?

Note the loss of a USB port from the last model. Otherwise this looks like a winner.

£150 price increase in the UK, now more than double the price it was when first introduced at £339.

Looks great (especially the HDMI) .. but it sure is expensive for such a low power device.
(pluging it as a gamer computer is beyond ridiculous by the way).

I will likely replace my aging Apple TV with this, if only front row wasn't such a turd compared to the apple tv menu...

But a full computer and everyone in the home owning an iPhone means there's little reason not to use this for all the streaming media, even if it's not quite the "10 foot" interface ideal.

New Mac mini, user accessible RAM upgrade.. What about HDD??

Ok the new mac mini looks awesome, thinner and sleeker! Especially the Nvidia 320m gives it a HUGE boost in performance, (I should know I just got the 13" mbp with the exact same specs!).

Anyways, I can see that Apple has made the RAM user upgradable but what about the HDD? Do you have to unscrew all of that to get underneath it all to get to the HDD??

It does look stunning in my opionion and the updates look good. I wasn't expecting to see a Mini update so it is a nice surprise.

I would've like the SD card slot on the front too.

The price for what it is looks high and the configure page on the UK store doesn't appear to be working.

That looks really nice.

I like it. Included HDMI is nice as well for HTPC use. Love the lack of the bulky power brick.
