Guess we'll just have to wait and see, since no one can confirm it.

Can't say that I think that it will happen.
    3 USB 3.0 ports???
USB 3.0's projected release date is late 2009, early 2010.

Also I don't think that the i7 will be clocked at 3.06 and also be an extreme edition.

    I smell bull****.

Core i7, VERY SLIGHT chance Apple would be putting that in a Pro before 2010, and not at 3.06Ghz, way too hot.

    8GB ram maybe.

No dual cards with 1GB, way too hot once again WAY too much power draw.

    Screen yea.

NO BLU RAY. NO. NO. NO.

    SSD standard? Highly unlikely.

USB 3.0? Won't even be practical in 2009.

Smaller? Where you fitting all this?

    Snow Leopard? Would be there.

AND DO YOU MEAN TO SAY THIS IS ALL AT $1999?! YOU ARE INSANE.

Now 4 cores has me more excited than anything else. Really about all these MBP need anyway. But bottom line show me the money

What throws me off more than anything is the price? All this at a discount compared to what we currently get?

That doesn't seem likely at all. It doesn't make sense for Apple to redesign the MBP because the Unibodys just came out at the end of 2008. Its going to be a few more years before Apple decides to do that. And not having much space around the screen doesn't make sense. There needs to be enough space to protect the display from being damaged.

Sounds like a dream that'll never come true. Apple has become to cheap to include any type of adapters in there products:p . Not to mention that laptop would be way tooooo hot, and definitely not just $1999. Nice try though

They're definitely not going to change the design. Just ignore the OP.

maybe but it could be used to inspire some good talk about possible future upgrades once ppl get over the initial unrealism of the OP's post.

You are probably right. But, what if Apple actually did all of this and kept the price similar to what we are used to?

Would'nt their sales soar...curious of opinions

yes of course they would, but i dont think that it is possible.

EDIT: At least right now. in the future perhaps but the computer he's describing above is probably 2-3 years away at the earliest. not with all the components but the components that would give it similar performance to the one described.

So...some guy has probably gone to Alienware, configured the top specs of their 2" thick monster and then went hunting for the upgrades that would be coming in the very near future?

On another note...a superdrive came out to denote DVD burning...maybe a new name for Blu-ray burning?

    Blu-drive? Hyperdrive?

The thing about sarcasm is that it has to be funny for people to get it. The original post was more retarded than anything else.

They would have lower margin profit so that means it's not gonna happen.
