i heard from a source that the new ones are coming out in a couple of weeks.... which does match the original post date of late 09/november. honestly the specs given and price sound close to what i would imagine... but i don't know.. all i know was that person told me to wait a couple more weeks before making my investment.:)

ha ha I was actually hopeful until i got to the part that said "minidisplay port to HDMI included in package" Then I thought this is all blasphemy Apple would never include such an adapter in this package, they would make you buy it for $79.99

I could believe it all, except for the dual video cards. The dual video cards would get VERY hot, and I just can't see Apple putting 2 in there. Everything else, including price and redesign, I can believe.

We don't even have any leaks on the impending iMacs which are supposedly right around the corner and I'm supposed to believe a MacBook Pro leak that doesn't come out til the end of Nov?

Lol, for the guys who posted to today, the post was a joke, didn't you read the last sentence on the original post? Also seriously those specs for that money? Not a chance.

If that was real, the moment it turns on, it'll burn a hole straight through the aluminum chassis, through my wooden Ikea desk, through my wooden hardwood floors, through the foundations of my house, through the bedrock, through the earth.

WAY TOO MUCH POWER DRAW AND HOT!

Troll. :D

Hah - the CPU is fake. It doesn't exist. This whole thing is silly. The more I type, the sillier I feel for even responding to this...

New top shelf 15" Macbook Pro for under $2,000.00

Is this your friend?

You couldn't have made it $2800.00 to make it just a little more believable?

BULL Bull bull, £1300 UK pounds!? Haha I find that the biggest laugh!

And MY friend who's a professor of comedy doesn't find this funny nor credible at all.

New CPU: Intel Core i7 Mobile Extreme, 32 nm, 4 cores @ 3.06 Ghz, 12MB L2 cache, 1333 Mhz Bus

That kinda CPU does not exist. There no quad-core 32nm CPU coming this year

New RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1333 Mhz

4GB chips are still too expensive (over 300$ each)

New GPU: Dual nVidia GeForce GTX 280M (SLI), 55nm, 1GB GDDR3 x 2

Dual 280Ms are IMPOSSIBLE

New glass / anti-glare display (optional): 1900 x 1200 pixels

It's 1920 x 1200

Hard Drive: choice of 256GB or 512GB SSD (no others available)

If it's starting at 10 000$ then it's possible

New two USB 3 on the left side and one on the right

This is getting boring....

You have absolutely zero knowledge about computers and Apple.... That config is impossible due that kinda CPU does not even exist

He needs another line of work. There is no way that is ever going to happen.

I smell bull****.

Core i7, VERY SLIGHT chance Apple would be putting that in a Pro before 2010, and not at 3.06Ghz, way too hot.

8GB ram maybe.

No dual cards with 1GB, way too hot once again WAY too much power draw.

Screen yea.

NO BLU RAY. NO. NO. NO.

SSD standard? Highly unlikely.

USB 3.0? Won't even be practical in 2009.

Smaller? Where you fitting all this?

Snow Leopard? Would be there.

AND DO YOU MEAN TO SAY THIS IS ALL AT $1999?! YOU ARE INSANE.

i can't tell if you didn't pick up on sarcasm, or you are being sarcastic also.....

no way possible

To fit the thermal envelope, we are talking a 1.6 quad core entry, the high end part I think is a 2.6 maybe? end of story.

8GB no way

no hard drive option, just SSD? A year too early

nope nope nope

Next time notice on the date of the OP... its back from April... highly doubt the OP is here anymore..

that would be a sweeeet gig if this is true.... finally a really decent macbook pro update. (and finally 3 usb slots on a 15")
