Hey guys - remember the Mac Pro? The Airport and Airport Express? The Cinema/Thunderbolt Display? The Mac Mini? The iPod Touch?

What's so different about Apple today relative to 5+ years ago?

I don't need "different" I just need faster more efficient (and lower power) versions of the those devices.

Apple wont update or invent until after 2017. Because they're preparing the big 10 year anniversary by having a "spot the difference" campaign. Where folks have to look back and reminisce about when Apple was .... Apple. And point at stuff and comment "That's what IOS was like when it first came out and still looks like" and "I remember when the monocoque chassis came out ...damn amazing self-contained design - still looks the same but it's nice to see nothings changed" adding that "the Mac Pro" or 'Dustbin Hoffman' as its affectionately known by owners has the same storage capacity as when it first came out (by storage they mean trash-container hold). Don't be disappointed. It'll all be worth the wait ... honest.

ITS BEEN THE SAME COMPUTER SINCE 2012!!!
...
And it speaks well of the superior, timeless design as to have lasted this long. There's STILL nothing wrong with it!
they lost me at 'keyboard will have same butterfly design as on the macbook.'
...
I pretty much expected this. You can't make the MBP much thinner without adopting that keyboard. Oh well.

On the desktop side, rumors have indicated that Apple is working on
updated iMac models
with discrete AMD graphics options, as well as a new standalone external 5K display, but Kuo says those products will not be ready until the first half of next year.

This just sucks...I waited a whole year for the 2016 model and now I have to wait more...?

I'll just wait and see what they announce. A 14in retina MacBook Air would be nice (mostly get rid of bezel so computer doesn't get bigger). But...not happening. What I really care about is the earnings call on Tuesday. Hope that is a 'happening' event. :)

Yay! My iMac 5k iMac will not become obsolete anytime soon. :D

But seriously :apple:, stop stalling with that long overdue 5k Thunderbolt display!

At least I won't be going broke anytime soon... :)

But that new redesigned Macbook Pro!!! *sigh*... bye bye funds. :(

It seems a small event to only announce new MacBook Pro's and a 13" MacBook, even if the Apple event is only 1 hour long.
