Eugh, just spoke to Apple. I hate it that I get put through to an American call centre now. I've always found the Irish people to be ten times friendlier and easier to deal with. My order's a big vague blob. It might be that my MacBook Pro is still sitting in Shanghai for some unknown reason, it might be that I will only be issued with a tracking number when all my order items (including printer, Applecare and iPod nano) are together, i.e. in the UK, it might be that a ferret's run off with my MacBook and I'll get it in six months time with teeth marks all over it.

I really wish the Apecode website still worked, that provided the best tracking by a long shot - especially for multi-part orders.

Apparently my estimated delivery date is now the 4th November. When I click "Track this shipment" for one of the other items in my order (all have this apart from the MacBook Pro), it says "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule 29 Oct 2008". Which is odd since how can a status update be produced 5 days before the date listed. It also says in there estimated delivery date 31 Oct 2008.

I'm going to have to pray that mine's on the same flight as some of the rest of you guys and that when yours hit the UK I'll finally be able to track it. :( I'm hoping it'll arrive in the UK with twynne and MH01's machines.

Well the apple site is quite useless in term of tracking info, all i get is the tracking number and that its our for delivery...hmmm

You might want to contact UPS - Link below and see if they can give you your tracking number. Looks like UPS received my billing info on the 23rd.

Yah I ordered on the 15th in the early morning, it didn't ship till the 24th (with yours I'm guessing), and still no tracking info... I called Apple and the rep said I wouldn't see the tracking info updated until the MBP was in Europe. But right after that he gave me this BS about why my MBP was so late, "well you see the SSD is a very delicate component and it takes a lot of time to put it in right and make sure its working".... dude, its a swappable disk drive, this isn't rocket science!

Well that made my morning....had a good chuckle :) The only thing delicate about it is the price.

Okay, how is one suppose to read these? If you follow the time line the package keeps bouncing between NL and DE, I am certain the package would not back and forth, is it cause of the time difference? Wonder if this data is sorted by date and time...

I guess all u want to see is out for delivery :)

It's the City (as a group) followed by all the events that occurred in that City, in the local time of that location.

The events that say something about data being processed just indicate that that particular city has processed the data for the package to come later - it doesn't mean the package itself is/was there.

The general pattern seems to be:

China > Korea > Poland (for some) > Germany > Netherlands > UK

Mine didn't seem to stop in Poland, or at least there was no entry for it there. It might be that those ordering more than one item get diverted somewhere else to meet up with the other components, then onward.

Same here, seem to have missed Poland, well hoping for tomorrow :)

Strange - for those of you travelling on the same donkey as me:

The Delivery Status widget (tracking Apple site) just popped up saying mine's 'out for delivery'! UPS, however, still shows the following:

APELDOORN,

Anyone else seeing similar?

twynne, do you have any ideas what's going on with ours?
on my apple status it says out for delivery, whilst on ups it says in transit in the Netherlands.

hope apples right!

It was worth a shot but alas no joy. They can't track deliveries without a tracking number. Cheers for the suggestion though.

This is so frustrating now. I was really hoping it had hit the UK and I'd have a tracking number by today. I remember the Apple site was similarly useless when I ordered a Mac Mini and a printer a few years ago. However, that was in the days of apecode, which could access the Kuhne and Nagel systems (they're who deal with all the shipping etc) and so I knew where both parts of my order were the whole time by simply tracking the 80xxxxxxxx number. :( What's irritating is that Kuhne and Nagel do have all this information on record, and yet, Apple have decided not to share it with us. Useful.

must of been typing whilst you were typing!
but yeah i guess were both seeing the same.

I think apple things go to Poland or the Czech Republic if you've made a custom order.
Still no info on my whitebook, other than "shipment on schedule" from the 24th.

Mine is going to be shipped to Berlin, last few entries are now showing as below. Also, there is no estimated delivery date anymore on the UPS site, just shows IN TRANSIT?

why would they have not sent it to berlin whilst it was in cologne instead of the netherlands?

hope we all receive them today or tomorrow!

hey, you read from the bottom up and yes it does go to the netherlands then back to germany agin to be flown over to the UK from DE, also the times are the local times to the country/place thepackage was in, it can get confusing yes but it is correct if u know how to read it!!

Hi- my macbook is due to be delivered today- has anone had theirs delivered yet today? (after flying to east midlands airport and going to glouster) MACKABOOKAPRO or CHIC0???

I live in Scandinavia and I ordered a MBP on October 16th. It hasn't been shipped yet, the shipping was promised in 7 business days and today (monday) is the final day for that timeframe. Hopefully it will be shipped in time.

Looks like it! :) I wonder if the 'in transit' means we'll get our MBP's in Berlin today? I wish the UPS page would refresh with an expected delivery date, so that I know when to be waiting for it... The Apple page says Out for Delivery.

I hope the same. When I bought my ipod beginning in september, it was in the morning in Köln and delivered beginning of the afternoon in Berlin. But it looks like the MBP will take longer.

For what it's worth, I just called UPS; even though I'm showing the below, and the UPS page still shows IN TRANSIT without an expected delivery date, the lady told me that I shouldn't get it until Wednesday (29th). Which is what was originally showing on my UPS page before the expected delivery date vanished...

:( not good. Mine was scheduled first to the 29th then 28th then nothing. The Apple tracking says 28th and it was updated today. So I hope we'll get it tomorrow.

Woohoo!!!! Just got mine!!!!

I in work but just briefly took it out from box. Didnt open lid up, but must admit, it's actually slimmer in the flesh. Looks great! Cant wait to have proper play with it tonight!

Good luck guys

Tracking history

Order : MBP 2.53GHz 320gb 7200rpm HD

Mine was delivered to my work address in Warrington.......

The final stint in Cologne is bit misleading. It only stayed there for so long as UPS dont like working on weekends ;)
