LOL! Yeah I know how you feel... I had to stop reading the thread with all the Americans boasting about their new MBPs (and those complaining that their 3rd one still had a speck of dust!!!)... only a few more days... hopefully...!

Mine's in Cologne too, although it arrived there a couple of hours ago and now has the second Apeldoorn brokerage message - I assume you have that? The system says it's scheduled for a Tuesday delivery for me.

yeah, i got the same update, still no delivery date though, also my status is exception?

no, no extras, just the 2.8, 320 -7200.

i hope it's delivered tomorrow!
 
Yeah mine now says exception as well, but I think that just means a change to the previously stated delivery date - which I assume can be an exception in either direction. Well that's what I'd like to believe anyway! :D

I'm actually using a new 2.53 at the moment, so I've no real reason to complain. :D Just decided the faster processor made sense, so this one will be going back. I'm still excited to get 'my' machine though... and of course the faster processor and drive will be nice.

Here's hoping they're here soon - for everyone!
 
Am I right in thinking that those of us ordering with extras like iPods or printers and whose order has shipped are without the tracking number that allows us to see this mad dash across china, Korea and mainland Europe?

I'd really just like a clear idea when this thing might actually arrive based on the wait experienced by those who have already received theirs.

I ordered a standard MBP 2.4 2ghz 250Gb on the 16th from Italy.

Yah I ordered on the 15th in the early morning, it didn't ship till the 24th (with yours I'm guessing), and still no tracking info... I called Apple and the rep said I wouldn't see the tracking info updated until the MBP was in Europe. But right after that he gave me this BS about why my MBP was so late, "well you see the SSD is a very delicate component and it takes a lot of time to put it in right and make sure its working".... dude, its a swappable disk drive, this isn't rocket science!

How are you tracking it? I have an 808 order reference as well, but if I try it on the TNT website it tells me there are no records of it under reference tracking... and under consignment tracking it refers to a package someone had delivered months ago. Am I missing something?

Give the rep a break he just wanted to have a coffee break ;) The fact that he answered the phone is to some an improvement in Apple costumer service :cool:
 
that number you have isn't the tracking number. Just a weird ref number I think. It should say the tracking number under the more details part from what I can see!
 
Is it just me waiting for Amazon.co.uk then? Anybody else have a dispatch estimate of the 28th, and delivery or 29th-30th?

31st for me, from Apple though, but if it's dispatched today I'll hope for it coming tomorrow :)

I'm sure yours will be soon to follow. What type of delivery do you have on yours ?

check the reference option
and paste your 80... number, for me it worked.

First class :) My status is 'Dispatching soon' with the estimate of tomorrow. So hopefully I'll get it Wednesday (or thursday:()

Okay, how is one suppose to read these? If you follow the time line the package keeps bouncing between NL and DE, I am certain the package would not back and forth, is it cause of the time difference? Wonder if this data is sorted by date and time...

I guess all u want to see is out for delivery :)
 
is there a general shortage of European MBPs? I'm trying to buy one in a store but they are always out of stock.

how long before you think the situation will ease? I usually prefer buying in person, but if online will be quicker I'll do that.
