The only change is that it now says "In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed" but still giving my estimated delivery date as today. According to the lady at TNT that isn't possible.

Shipped to SHEFFIELD, GB 05 Nov 2008
Estimated Delivery Date (Subject to change) 13 Nov 2008 (Subject to change)
Current Delivery Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment Delayed 13 Nov 2008

I've resigned myself to the fact that it is coming tomorrow. Not a big deal, as I thought it was coming on Friday all week. Just annoying they got my hopes up by changing the date at the last minute last night.

My take on this is that our parcels are in the exact same place redrog. All our information is exactly the same. So hopefully we will both get them tomorrow. If they don't come tomorrow, THEN I will be pissed off!

Apple has also changed here to Shipment Delayed

TNT still hasn't changed - hopefully will see some movement tonight otherwise it will be Monday - then I'll be unhappy. (Although I'm a little miffed that some on the same shipment from China got delivered yesterday.)

those photos helped actually Jjpeacha - reminded me what all this waiting is for! I assume all is well with it?

As long as our mbp's reach their individual depots before 8am tomorrow morning, we should get them tomorrow. If they are still lost by then we won't get them till monday. We shall see...

BTW, I would recommend using the dashboard to track your gear, in particular taking a webclip of apple's tracking page and using this widget to save your refresh buttons. The webclip doesn't seem to time-out which is pretty cool and you can have multiple instances of the widget. I've use an apple and tnt one.

Nice idea. Although I don't like the way mine says 14 days...

New MacBook Pro UK Shipping Times

Hi all, thought I would post an update. Mine was suppose to be delivered on the 17th of nov. My shipping status changed today to the 14th so fingers crossed I might get my new mbp tomorrow, finally

Oh for **** sake!!!

My tracking info hasn't been updated overnight. So I rang TNT at 07:30 ish and they said they don't know where it is and were going to ring me back. They rang me about 20 mins ago and told me they had only got the paperwork and data through and there was no sign of the actual package. They said I needed to get in touch with Apple directly.

I just got off the phone with Apple. They don't know where it is either! The last they knew it was in Nuneaton - but that isn't definite. They have escelated the issue to their logistics department who are going to get TNT to do a physical check. They will get back to me within 24 hours.... AAAGGHHH

I said I was very disappointed and was it possible to do a Saturday delivery if they find it in time - he said they would see what they can do. I'm basically now waiting for an email/phone call that will arrive sometime in the next 24 hours.

The man told me worst case scenario is my package has been lost and they will have to order a new one. How can that happen in this day and age? You'd have thought Apple would look after their expensive laptops a bit better. They did also mention that once all this had been sorted, they could look into some kind of "good will gesture" from Apple.

Have you had any further info redrog? I suggest ringing them and checking this out - the more people we have working on this the better! I will keep you posted...

The only slight bit of enjoyment I have got from this whole experience was hearing the American man from Apple trying to say Nuneaton. "New ne, New ne, New ne ton"

I've have the same issue. TNT say that although Apple have raised the consignment, they haven't actually placed the order with them. Can't get through to Apple so no clearer than that.

TNT reckoned it would be at least Monday if they sort it out today.

If anyone tells me I have to wait another 3 weeks I'm going to go supernova.

Seriously unhappy now.

Sent Apple an email to complain as I couldn't get through on the phone. So we'll see what that brings.

In the last few minutes I've actually got through to them on the phone and spoke to a nice woman in the US (who sounded half asleep so I assume she's in California). TNT were in a meeting (hopefully about my MBP) and so she couldn't speak to them. She has issued a trace on the delivery and if TNT can't find it in 72hrs then they order a new one..... She said she will email me in 24hrs with an update.

Still nothing from TNT who promised me a call back this morning...

sounds like we are in exactly the same situation redrog.

Do you think if they order a new one on Monday it will take another three weeks? I'm not sure I could handle that!

If that is the case, I might be tempted to get it without the 7200rpm hardrive and just go and pick one up from my local apple store.

I'm not sure I can handle another 3 weeks either.

Just had a call from TNT and its a little clearer. Apple send them data to go and collect the shipment hence the tracking line that we have. TNT have not been presented with the goods, hence the delay. TNT have now sent an escalation to Apple to find out where it is. I have asked that if they find it today that I get a Saturday delivery. She will phone me in another hour with an update.

On the bright side, which is small consolation, I've got to say that, so far, I think both the TNT and Apple customer service people have been good despite their logistics letting me down. Both have shown empathy and have done what they have said they will do. Lets hope their words are backed up with action and urgency.

I feel exactly the same - the customer service has been very good, despite the problems. I can only hope they find our packages today, and we should definitiely push for a Saturday delivery if they do.

Don.

Thinking about what the woman at Apple said - I reckon she meant 72hrs from wednesday rather than from today, hence why she is calling me tomorrow.....probably to order me a new one.....

Also in case there is actually anybody else out there waiting for a merge in Uk shipment, TNT said the route for mine was Shanghai>Holland>Nuneaton.

Suppose mine could be anywhere in between....

Another call from the lady at TNT (which again is great service despite having no real info for me). Still no joy from Apple her end, she is trying to get someone "senior" at Apple to give me a call.

Mentioned that after 2 days it is standard procedure for Apple to be informed that the delivery hasn't taken place which has now happened in addition to what she is doing for me.

I feel really, reaaly bad for you man. Still waiting on a friday!!! Apple should be ashamed.

I also feel terrible for you guys who are waiting. I was in a similar situation and would have just gone & bought one if the stores in my area were not out of stock at the time.

If it comes to having to go through that long wait AGAIN (to get a faster HDD), I would just go buy one, buy a nice HD separately, and cancel the order.

I had yet another call from TNT basically saying that they have done everything they can internally with Apple and I need to talk to them direct.

My shipping detail has now disappeared from TNT's website.

Not sure I have any remaining strength today....

This is like a bad dream.

So I plucked up the energy to ring Apple again. According to them TNT haven't contacted them and I need to wait til tomorrow. So someone is lying.

I've resigned myself to not getting it today or tomorrow which wipes out my plan to migrate my data over the weekend.

I just pray that I don't have to start again or I might just cancel and get myself a Dell or something.
