This is probably posted somewhere else in the hundreds of posts I haven't read, but...
Apples online store now says 3-5 business days for shipping instead of 24 hours it has been saying.
it is interesting that they redesigned their webpages with the darker menu headings..
I am one of the few people hoping they keep the optical drive. If they remove it I may have to reconsider my purchase. I need to be able to burn discs wherever I may be and carrying a external around kind of defeats the purpose of having a pro-level portable.
hm interesting,
I could have sworn they didn't used to put the following line on the refurb items:
Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Originally released April 2010
13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
4GB (2 x 2GB) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
250GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm
8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory
anyone confirm?
I cant wait, Thursday seems like forever!
Does Apple ever limit how many Macs you can buy in-store? Anyone have any insight on this matter?
Most I've ever purchased was 2 during the same transaction.
Agreed. I have money that's just burning a hole in my pocket.
I can confirm that as I've been constantly tracking the refurbs the past month and they all did not have those dates.
I doubt it. How many were you planning on? I would think if you were looking to buy a large portion of their allocated stock, they would probably put in an online order for you, at least for some of them.
Do you think it would be worth the wait to wait until summer when Lion comes out so it comes with the MBP?
I'm in no rush, I REALLY do want a new Laptop (mines 4 years old) but I'll wait if it's worth it.

Is waiting at least 2 months worth saving the hundred bucks or so Lion will cost?
I don't think so. Better to be using your new machine for an extra 3 months.
Also, if you wait for Lion, you risk being stuck with a buggy initial OS release, and being unable to downgrade to Snow Leopard, which we all know works like a champ.
