what ever happened to the dark theme option you were looking into ?

sorry missed the last couple of posts about the movement you have been doing about the dark theme.

MacRumors is famous for discovering and reporting on Apple leaks.

@arn leaked his own leak of a MacRumors dark mode back in March, but we've yet to see anything emerge since. WWDC came and went. A new Mac Pro and a new macOS but still nothing from MacRumors itself. ;)

A WIP, but I sort of made my own MacRumors dark mode with Firefox and add-on Stylish. Searching the themes for macrumors brings up one which I've modified slightly for myself.

Bright green text on a black background?
I used to work on a CRT terminal with those colors.
Sadly, we didn't have such purdy fonts.

Just my own opinion/take on this, but I think this whole ‘dark mode theme’ was announced a bit too prematurely. I totally understand things happen, where maybe there’s some [technical issues, setbacks, delays], etc. But sometimes it’s best _not_ to announce something until the final product has matured/is ready, (where as leaving others in anticipation for something that this website has been requesting for quite some time on the status/updates), until the product is actually ready to be launched/beta tested.

But it’s the new Apple way!

Any word on the forum dark mode? I absolute love the dark mode for the https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/

they’ve had this for a while. Doesn’t seem to difficult to Implement. Seems almost as if it’s just a pre made theme..?? Why is this so difficult for macrumors ??
The financial incentive must not be there, just as it wasn't with a dedicated app. Otherwise, neither would have taken 4+ years to accomplish.

Well, the other big Mac site already has dark mode enabled. I won't mention it because I don't know if it is allowed or may be considered spam or something, but one of my two main Mac websites just released its Dark Mode. Now it is time for MacRumors. A dark grey would be nice, instead of a pure black, but that's just my personal preference.

Just like one iOS, dark mode is something of a pipe dream around here... probably see it in another 4-5 years.

Why can’t we just enable this? Even if there are some minor glitches that need to be weeded out, it would surely be better than being blinded by this site when everything else I browse has dark modes.
