So their mouse is their lastLately they’re not as obsessed with style. See the mbp for instance. They’re thicker, got the useful ports back and dropped the awful butterfly keyboard mechanism.

Sold my AA-battery Magic Mouse, because it‘s not ergonomic and bad for (any) gaming. It was okay, because i could replace batteries anytime with fresh loaded eneloops and continue work.
The current version with the charging cable on the bottom of the device is a complete fail.
Hoping for a complete redesign.
If they ever update it, I guess we’ll find out.So their mouse is their lastcrap"style" pointing device.
Right, so if there was a choice between having the port on the bottom as is, or having the port on the front without any major sacrifices and being able to use your mouse while it is charging when needed, you would choose the MM with the port on the bottom. Got it. That was all I needed to know. Thanks! 🙂 Let's be honest here, the MM isn't a great mouse anyway. Even if the design had to change slightly to accommodate a charging port on the front, this would only stand to improve the design. Let me ask you this...would you want a charging port on the back (in the middle) of your cell phone and you couldn't use your cell phone while it was charging? Nope, no you wouldn't. No one wants a charging port in an awkward, stupid location where the device cannot be used while it is charging on any device, regardless of its use.The port being on the bottom never bothered me. I just plugged it in over night when I wasn't using it anyway. It would be fully charged next morning and I could go weeks before needing to charge it again. I do get a kick out of seeing people complain about it. I hope they leave the port on the bottom for that reason alone.
Currently, I use the MX Master Vertical for ergonomic reasons. Plus it can pair with up to 3 devices and easily switch between them.
This reminds me of the notorious phrase: "you're holding your iPhone wrong"not being able to take a few min break and charge your mouse is just bad time management.
A good 3rd party redesign has already been made:Sold my AA-battery Magic Mouse, because it‘s not ergonomic and bad for (any) gaming. It was okay, because i could replace batteries anytime with fresh loaded eneloops and continue work.

Third-party wired mice don't work well with macOS. The scrolling is awful. Unfortunately, good scrolling experience can be provided only by Apple's native peripherals. The current mouse is perfect the way it is.
There are plenty of corded mice people could get, but I guess it's easier (and feels good) to complain about Apple's rather than solve *their* problem and purchase a corded one.
It doesn't look clean and nice.Somebody explain to me why Apple hasn't come up with a mouse that uses wireless charging and a mouse pad to go along with it.

Apple makes the mouse with the best scrolling and CTS on top of that.So Apple does make the best mouse
I stand by my post. This reminds me of the notorious phrase: "you're holding your iPhone wrong"
Blaming people for the issues they encounter while using your devices is lame, bro.
Apple didn’t invent the mouse either. The idea actually came from a Xerox multi user word processing system that had a GUI and used a 3 button mouse. Is kind of the opposite with Microsoft, people claim that Microsoft copied Mac OS, and apple were innovating, but if we talk about just the mouse, then Microsoft is a gazillion more innovating than apple, fist led tracking mouse, fist to use scroll, then back and forward buttons, Microsoft mice introduced ergonomics in mice, apple mice are probably the less innovating hardware they sell.
Exactly, that's why I hate my Sony neck speaker, the device has a good position for the USB connector charger, but you cannot use it while charging.Right, so if there was a choice between having the port on the bottom as is, or having the port on the front without any major sacrifices and being able to use your mouse while it is charging when needed, you would choose the MM with the port on the bottom. The problem with that 3rd party redesign is that doesn't works well with the mouse, is a good concept for ergonomics but the problem with that add-on is that you lose precision with your mouse.A good 3rd party redesign has already been made:

Apple should just adopt it.
From start, they been "destroying" the concept of the mouse, original Xerox had 3 buttons, first apple mouse 1 button.Apple didn’t invent the mouse either. The idea actually came from a Xerox multi user word processing system that had a GUI and used a 3 button mouse.
Not my experience. I highly recommend either the Logitech M500S or the Logitech G502 Hero wired mice.Third-party wired mice don't work well with macOS. The scrolling is awful. Unfortunately, good scrolling experience can be provided only by Apple's native peripherals.
Mine never does this. All it says is Battery is Too Low. That's it. And it usually happens right in the middle of something. You don't have to babysit it, you will get a notification when you are running low, and then you will have many hours before it runs out. Surly you can find time to charge it. Over lunch, when you take a dump, over night.
Time Management.
Ergonomically I won't argue, people like what they like. That's just fine.
It works well for MY needs.
Xerox's mouse had 3 buttons, just like modern mice do:From start, they been "destroying" the concept of the mouse, original Xerox had 3 buttons, first apple mouse 1 button.
That's what I'm saying, the worst "innovation" that apple creates if by far their mice.
Not my experience. I highly recommend either the Logitech M500S or the Logitech G502 Hero wired mice.
Why would you?the problem with that add-on is that you lose precision with your mouse.
No. I don’t understand why these companies that make mice like these can’t design them for left handed people as well. I’m left handed and can’t use them. I did try a Logitech mouse like this and didn’t like it cause I’m not right handed. I figured I’d try to use my right hand for a change, but it was awkward to use. And on the spec page they make a note: “Right handed use.”
Yes mine is a subjective opinion but your “objective truth” is really just another subjective opinion. All of these mouse discussions (except for the satirical ones) are subjective opinions. That's your subjective opinion. The objective truth is that all generic mice have inferior scrolling capabilities compared to Apple's native Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad.
Well isn’t that a notification??Mine never does this. All it says is Battery is Too Low. That's it. And it usually happens right in the middle of something.
