They are going to do what they do best. The absolute minimum and act like the moved a mountain to make it happen. The Magic Mouse is a joke. It need a complete redesign from the bottom up. When a $7 Ali express mouse feels better and works better that says a lot about apple design of the mouse.

I hope they add fast charging with dual charging ports.
Both on the bottom.
No design changes, port in the same place, the ONLY change is USB-C port. Thats my guess.
MagSafe in the stand of the iMac…. On top of the Mac mini. On top of the Mac Pro. Or atleast an accessory that’s design to set flush on top of those items.
I share a true story.
The last time I went to the Apple Store to buy accessories, I noticed that there was an old man who wanted to experience the iMac, but he couldn't operate it.
A few minutes later I finished my purchase and I noticed a Sepcialist awkwardly accompanying the old man... as well as the Magic Mouse upside down on the table.

I question if Jony really cared much about functionality and usability.
It was always about aesthetics and how nice it would photograph for his portfolio.
I’m honestly expecting both a new Magic Keyboard and a new Magic Trackpad, but not only for the USB-C but mostly because a higher, better Bluetooth version. Maybe we’re lucky and get Bluetooth 5.0 or 5.3 for all the new peripherals.

My Logitech mouse with sensibly located charging port gives me exactly the same option plus the ability to use it plugged in and finish whatever I was doing while it gets a full charge and doesn't need to be plugged in again for weeks. It's simply better.
The Tragic Mouse is just incredibly lazy design from a company who like to make $300 coffee table books about their wonderful design. There's one reason for that design - they couldn't be bothered to come up with a new design when they updated the old Magic Mouse from AA batteries to rechargeables, and just did the absolute minimum.
The TwelveSouth Magic Grips help a lot, if you like the MM otherwise. They stick onto the sides and give you something to hold onto.

The ergonomics are literally the worst. It's too flat and small for most hands. The charging on it is just stupid. And the total lack of tactile buttons just make it weird to use.
I offered it to my wife. She rejected it. My sister. She rejected it. So it's in a box somewhere....it'll most likely reappear one day and we'll see what stupid product design looks like.
If you need a mouse, I high recommend any Logitech MX series device. They are brilliant.

I hate it with a passion, the only thing that could improve it is a pound of thermite dropped directly on top of it.

, I've been waiting for something to use my thermite on for ages.Best trackpads on laptops, but has Apple had a decent mouse in the past 25 years? Every time, form over function. I think in 1995 I got a billiard game for a PC, and it came with a ridiculous 1/3 of an eight ball with a cord and serial port. Without fail, use it, and use the keyboard for a minute, back to the mouse, your alignment is off 10 to 20%, and it was just a mess.

Still using my AA battery MM and trackpad from 2013 on my Mac Studio.
Agree. I tried the MM and loved the functionality of it but the flat profile caused discomfort in very short time for me. Probably the worst mouse I've ever used from an ergonomic standpoint.
Contrary to many others I‘ve been using the Magic Mouse (both generations) since its introduction in 2009 and have been pretty pleased with it. I’ve configured lots of extra gestures with BetterTouchTool and it has been smooth sailing so far.
Great way to ensure tons of people never buy it, unless it comes with that cable.
Worst design ever you can’t use it while charging it 🙄. I litteraly have to have backup mice. No one wants to babysit a battery level to make sure you’re not going to run out of juice. Please move they port elsewhere
I am not a fan of wireless mice, as my mouse sometimes falls from my desk and I love that I can drag it back up with the cable.
It would be really cool with a MagSafe option, but a better position of the charging port and/or better battery life would be a minimum upgrade.
I'm one of those who really like my Magic Mouse. The swipes are awesome and so on. Just hope for these QoL upgrades.
