It's the 9CC3.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems as the base 13' got the 9CC5 panel and the 2,66 Ghz got the 9CC3 panel?

Nope ive got a base 13 with a 9CC3 panel. Theyre all from the same manufacturer "610". I think you dont have to expect much difference. Expect a damn good panel with deep blacks and vivid colors. Didnt expect this coming from a 15" pro which is much much better than my brothers 2008 aluminum macbook.

That's good to hear about the screen. I'm still a little disappointed that it isn't an IPS panel since I was almost sure it would be (mainly because the iMac and iPad had them).

It's still an LCD. ;) It's an LED-backlit LCD rather than a CCFL-backlit LCD.

sadly ive tried explaining this to everyone whos ever asked about LED tvs... they just dont get it!!!

until they start mass producing OLED tv's.... all "LED" tvs are simply LCD panels with LED backlighting.... IE: they are still LCD tvs.

actually it is a LED screen, that is why it is quite a lot better then a LCD.

You should really make sure you know what you are talking about before posting it. When you post misinformation and no one is there to correct it, others will spread this ignorance as well.

And it would not have taken much to prevent this from happening. If you are on the internet, then you have access to google.com.

I have a base 13" 2010.

it has a 9CC7 screen.... looks really nice, but nothing to compare it to.

I've just received another 9CC7... Blacks are even worse than before...

*cryyyyy*

I have a 9CC7 and IMO it looks better than my 09 (not sure of the screen model) 13" that returned to get my curent computer (Specs in sig) but I didn't have a chance to compair them side by side.

Thanks for your comment.

It seems more and more people get the 9CC7...

Just purchased the 2010 13 incher. Its a HUGE improvement from my friend's older unibody Macbook. I agree I was expecting a IPS panel on these baby since the iPad had them but then again, these days, I have yet to see a PC notebook with an IPS panel

Coud you tell us your pannel model number ?

Go to System Preferences > Display > Color > Color LCD Open Profile > line 17 model.

Thanks !

I got a Base-model 2010 13" MBP 2.4GHz as well and I have the 9CC5 panel by mfg 610. Everything looks good to me thus far (HUGE difference compared to my Acer 5740G 15.6" LED-backlit LCD. Colors, black-levels, no contest!)!
