Wow...posting this on my new Macbook Pro. Picked it up from FedEx a little while ago and just now had the time to set it up and start playing around.
So far I'm incredibly happy with it. Much, much nicer than any of the other laptops I've had to deal with through work (Dell, IBM/Lenovo, Acer), the design and finish of the system are top notch. The more I play with OS X, the more I like it. Some things take a bit of getting used to, but some are just so darn intuitive.
My only gripe.....a single stuck/dead pixel. Thankfully it is in the lower left corner, maybe five or six rows of pixels from the edge, and only really noticeable if you're looking for it. I'll try one of those stuck-pixel fixing programs and see if it'll do any good. On the one had, I paid just barely under $3k for this machine (around $3300 with AppleCare), so it kinda bothers me. On the other hand it's one single pixel out of how many tens of millions, and in a place that would almost never be noticed (unlike my first HP L2335 monitor, with a bright green stuck pixel in the dead center of the screen!). I figure it can't be fixed, I'll just live with it. If it gets any worse I have AppleCare, there's no way to know if my replacement will have other issues (stuck pixels, fit/finish, etc) and with it being a custom order (2.93 processor and 7200 RPM HD) I'll be stuck with another 2-3 week wait.
Now to start finding all the apps I need!
