New MBP 17" delivery dates! Part 2

Hi mate, the first 17 i ordered took a week from being shipped to actually getting to me. That was standard delivery (TNT)
The new model im being sent is coming via UPS and is supposed to be here on monday (shipped today 19th)
Did you do anything special to get a deal like this or was it a standard web order?
Ordered my 17" mbp on 11th January and it finally arrived today!!! It's looking so good and I haven't noticed any problems some users on this forum are complaining about. Yippee, I feel like a little child!
Did you get the tracking info etc or was it stuck on the estimated delivery without any updates?
What is the difference between estimated delivery status and current delivery status? One says 24th and one says 20th. When do you think I'll actually get it? Drives me nuts that I still have no assigned carrier but I believe that some people got the delivery before that got even updated. Would that be correct?

It's really a huge difference with my old Powerbook G4 17" 1,5. Yesterday i thought that the Powerbook wasn't that bad but side a side what a difference.
I only feel sorry for my colleague he choose the wrong box his one has a small dent on the body just under the left speaker. But mines fine tommorrow he will call the reseller and ask for a replacement hopefully must not wait such a long time anymore

Where are you from mate? Who was the reseller?
I ordered on the 9th feb and have been told to expect it to arrive on the 31st of march. A few others ordered in jan and still haven't heard anything.
Looks like Apple are getting it together. Finally.
I just ordered my second unibody from macmall last night. It shipped today and will be here tommorow. Thats one thing i love about resellers...No china!!!!! Next day shipping!!!!! And its cheap to only $27 for overnight
Ordered mine on the 16th of January from a reseller in Melbourne. Shiped on the 17th of March. Apparently should have on the Monday or Tuesday next week.
The lady at customer services upgraded my shipping and said my build would be put to near the front of the que because of the faulty 17 i received first. I originally ordered on the 25th Jan.
As for your shipping status. The 20th is just todays date. You will probably get it on or near to the 24th. Mine arrived bang on the expected day.
The assigned carrier and tracking didn't change on mine until the day before i got it (TNT) as they dont know anything about it until it comes into the country. You will probably see a TNT tracking number on monday.

I ordered through a reseller and never got any tracking info. I waited for about 70 days and then it was suddenly their, waiting on my desk in my office

I find myself slowly losing my grip on sanity. No longer able to perform at my job, I've been reduced to reading other peoples tales of shipment tracking and unboxing on MR Forums and cursing them under my breath. I catch myself thinking out-loud asking why if China has the largest population in the world there aren't more people working on my computer? Randomly I scream as my work PC makes error noises with no error windows popping up, as if mocking me intentionally. Taking my two aleve with the sixth cup of coffee now, I rub my wrists to alleviate the pain from the repetitive motion of selecting the tab on my browser that has Apple's webpage up and logging in to check the status. "Not Yet Shipped" stares at me as if it was that bully at school who just kicked you in the nuts and is standing over you laughing at your misery. I wander the office aimlessly now, don't know if I can make it today...

LOL I ordered mine on March 12th and I am still getting "Not Yet Shipped". If nothing happens today, I figure something's gotta give on Monday. Look at it this way; they're just taking their time on our MBP's to make sure that they are perfect.
I feel the pain as I experience exactly the same. My gf tells me that I'm insane and that I should relax but I can't.
Mac addiction I really should stop torturing myself but I am feeling pretty ill about something I just saw. When I go to the Apple store the 17" umbp's are now shipping withing 3 to 5 business days. If they are getting that more efficient at cranking these bad boys out then why is mine still chilling with the Not Yet Shipped tag haunting me with 7 to 10 business day shipping status?
Dude, we're in the same exact boat. I know this sucks. They should be shipped very soon.
It eases the pain knowing I'm not alone. Can't wait till I can put my hands on my new Mac. Until then I will continue my search for the best accessories to compliment it.
