Hello,

I just received an iPad 3 White 32GB WIFI, unfortunately, when holding it in portrait mode, the iPad WARMS UP (not overheat) on the left, near the bottom, where my hands would be.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks!

LTE versions it's a known issue and was reported several days ago. WiFi was up in the air because most reviewers got 3G models.

Mine runs a little warm, but I don't really care. I refuse to worry about every little thing.

Noticeably warmer than iPad2. Cooler than having my laptop in my lap but can't say I really like it either. Going to play Dead Space now to see if I can really heat it up!

It uses 70% more power than the iPad 2, of course it will get hot.

It also doesn't charge from the iPhone charger anymore. Pretty disappointing, especially considering it isn't any faster than the iPad 2.

I always felt my iPad 1 was too cold in winter, I think this might become a positive in ~6 months. In the summer though... meh.

it does get pretty warm, especially when comparing to an iPad 2. The iPad 2 was cool the whole time while the new iPad is just warm the ENTIRE time, it never cools down at all.

I find it pretty uncomfortable holding it for long hours though. Hope apple fixes it or something.

Yup. Mines gets warm but it's not HOT though.

Mine is constantly warm. It's honestly kinda annoying and stuff, but im sure I'll get used to it in a little bit more time using it.

Mine got almost uncomfortably warm, but that seemed to be just during the initial sync. Afterwards it seemed to be just fine.

Mine warms up a little... I just like to tell myself it's an added feature....

First night it got very warm. But now it seems to have stabilized. Still feel some warmth but not hot.

Keeping my screen brightness at 60%.

Wow, I'm shocked to read these posts - one thing I love about my iPad 2 is hat it doesn't get even a tiny bit warm even after hours of use! I'd encourage anyone noticing this to take heir iPad to an apple store and exchange it. That would worry me, especially if it's getting warm after just a bit of light use.

Mine got slightly warm last night, while I was watching a Netflix movie in full screen but nowhere close to the point that made it uncomfortable to handle. This if my first iPad purchase so I honestly can't say how it compares to the previous versions.
