There are a lot of iPhone 15s on the 2nd hand market right now what does that have to do with anything?
There is a big difference
This is a first generation product & it shows buyer’s remorse.
The other difference is if you don’t like the iPhone 15 you can go back to 14 or 13 you can’t do that with a first generation product.

I just looked at Swappa which is one of the main resale sites, they have sold about 30 AVPs and have 11 for sale, not sure where are getting your facts.

OF COURSE there is some buyer's remorse. There is with any product. There is with any thing! I looked up the percentage of marriages that end in divorce in the first year and the answer was 10%.

But what are the actual numbers of people selling their Vision Pro units? If it's 2000, that would be 1% of the units sold. Add to the 1% who return theirs to Apple within the return window and you have 2%.

That leaves 98% of AVP buyers who are keeping theirs. It's more successful than marriage!

And how many of those who returned theirs or sold them regret THAT move? There might be dozens. Dozens, I tell you.

It has been widely reported that Apple have cut there sales forecasts for this year & next year so what does that tell you
The problem with this headset is the general public aren’t interested in it nobody is banging down the doors to get one. Apart from a select few people on this forum

"Widely reported" seems to be all quoting the opinions of one guy.

It was widely reported last summer that there were manufacturing constraints on the number of ultra high resolution displays their suppliers could produce. Now we hear that sales forecasts are being "slashed" to about the number of units that were being forecast last summer.

You may be right, but the evidence you've produced falls well short of proving it.

WWDC is in about 3 weeks. We'll see then how publicly invested Apple is in the future of Apple Vision and spatial computing.

I’m basing this on nobody I know actually wants this headset or interested in it nobody is actually talking about this unless your on this website.
When this gets launched in other countries it will become clearer if this thing is a dud the next 6 to 12 months will determine that

What will probably happen is the same as the original HomePod in keeping it around for 5 years & updating vision os every year not dropping it completely.

Ah, so you're predicting there will be other versions of Apple Vision (like the HomePod minis), and that there will eventually be a Vision Pro 2 as Apple did with the HomePod.

I'm okay with that future.

You realize that downer posts like this scream of envy, or ignorance.

I bet you $3500 that once you actually experience a tight-rope walk in the Vision Pro, you'd finally "get it". 😎
Can assure you it’s not envy. I worked in VR development in the past myself. I “get” VR just fine.

No what I’m saying is it will go the way of the original HomePod & be on sale for 5 years before if it gets a refresh.
It will probably end up like the HomePod & Apple TV not successful but they will still sell it in the background.

Yep totally. If I was Tim Cook I’d be making deals left right and centre for every sport and music event I could find. Use TV+ subscriptions to subsidise it and get 180 3D cameras installed at all the big events. For example, French open tennis starts next week, I would pay a ridiculous amount to be able to sit court side and watch Nadal in his last French open. The lack of content at the minute feels like a huge missed opportunity

Of course! Just imagine all the subscription revenue. Because that content isn’t going to be free.

It's highly unlikely the camera apple uses would be affordable. Check out Insta360. I'm pretty sure GoPro also makes 360° cameras.
I’ve used the Insta360 Pro 2 and Insta360 Titan on a few projects. While they perform well with stereo 360, they are not true stereo rigs. Their cameras are mounted around a sphere (for obvious reasons), they don’t provide single lens full coverage for 180, and much of their stereo effect is achieved through interpolation.
