Nothing fool or in bad taste here.

Just Apple acknowledging (as in iOS 7) that China and India are the markets of the futures (2.5 billions of potential users?) and they have a different taste than the western market (5-600 millions of potential users and falling).

What is tacky now here is luxury and polished there (as it used to be here 40-50 years ago).

Why, oh why, would Apple build a phone to match will.i.am's accessories? A nice metallic green, blue, red or yellow? Yes, please.

I love how violently upset people can get over a color. Like actually personally offended that Apple would make a gold colored phone. While I don't see myself getting one, I think it's neat and see the appeal it will have. Next logical choice with white and black outside of an aluminum or a light graphite color.

This will be the most popular iPhone yet.

I'm going to hold off judgement until Sept 10th. Personally I'm not sure I like it but it's only a rumour after all..... :)

though there are no traces in the image of such blurring. It's possible that this is a preproduction sample and that sort of lettering was missing entirely, or possibly a knockoff part not manufactured for Apple.

No traces of blurring!?

You can see there's a blurred part where the Apple logo should have been...

I guess I don't understand why people are upset about having more options? If they were getting rid of another color for a gold or champagne one then sure, but an additional option that affects you in no way? get over it.

I for one really like this color. Not for myself, but for people like my mom and girlfriend. It's elegant and sophisticated. Combine the matte brushed finish with the shiny laser etched Apple logo and sparkling diamond-cut edges, this is going to be nothing less than beautiful.
