I think it is fake... however who cares about a color? You don't like, you don't buy.... it's way too simple :D

I for one really like this color. Not for myself, but for people like my mom and girlfriend. It's elegant and sophisticated. Combine the matte brushed finish with the shiny laser etched Apple logo and sparkling diamond-cut edges, this is going to be nothing less than beautiful.

LOL

Golden iPhone is far from being sophisticated and elegant. It lacks of good taste and looks just cheap. I thought bling bling era is long gone but maybe there are still markets for products with some bling bling. Chavtastic.

I look forward to see how this golden iPhone will sell in Europe :D

Why would they blur out the iPhone logo and text?

exactly! this whole thing looks really fishy to me. why in the world would they feel the need to blur our the Apple logo if these images were real? and the color does not match previously posted champagne colored parts. not buying this one.

Please let this be a joke, please!

I can't believe Apple would be doing this, gold is pure kitsch. Design-minded Apple would never do that (not the Apple we know). It really focusses on the idea of "look what I've got" like those Arabs with their chrome super cars. If you're taking that turn in history as a company you know you've failed on other aspects and you're only making a style-accessory. A lot of (Android-) people see Apple as a manufacturer which only focusses on style, but that's not what Apple is about, not the Apple Steve Jobs built.

If Apple is really releasing a gold/champagne iPhone I'll yell "ABANDON SHIP!" and fear for the future of Apple (-products). Stocks would fall dramatically since it's not just a "gold/champagne colored iPhone", it's a statement, a statement current investors would not share.

Saudis and Turks will be all over this.

again, the accepted racism...against the ME.

and do you really think this is NOT for the Chinese Market? I think you do not actually understand regional tastes, and instead have fun throwing around almost-racist statements...:mad:

The rumored 5C leaks showed logo and text. Though now I've seen some photos of a green phone with a white logo and text so who knows what to believe at this point.

My guess it will sell well in parts of the world that still adore yellow gold. China, India, and hmmm imagine that two of the biggest markets in the world.

Just my guess.

all gold everything

reminds me of one of my old nextels. not the i830. I can't remember which it was. I'd pass though.

Why is it racist to say that Saudis and Turkish people will love the phone?! Get a grip.

If Apple ever falls into the abyss someday (like it almost did in the 1990s), a gold iPhone will be one of the decisions by Apple that led them there. At the very least, it will be one of the early signs when Apple began to go off track under the leadership of Tim Cook. Let's hope 2014 works out better.

If this is Apple's idea of innovation they're done

Yeah the event is only a few minutes this time. Tim Cook is just going to announce the iPhone 5s comes in Gold. No new features. End of event. Then they're going to hire you.

I know several Arabs and they love all things white and gold. The original comment was spot on. I have several Arab friends who will absolutely love LOVE this color!

Note for the future - Ascribing certain observable qualities to an ethnic group does not constitute racism on the part of the observer. What constitutes racism is how that information or belief makes the observer behave towards that ethnic group. See the difference?

Well said!

I agree unless they reserve it for the 128 GB option. I hope not. Just doesn't seem to fit Apple's usual color choices.

Give us a Silver one Apple!

Now that would nice looking.

They really should have just gone with metallic colours from the current iPod Touch line up. They're spot on, especially the blue!
