Wow, I'm really unhappy with the regular iPhone 12 blue colour. Apple's renderings are WAY OFF. Mine arrives on Friday and I really don't want it anymore. Apple renders look navy matt but the hands on shots look like bright blue plastic!

I’ve seen different photos online..might not be disappointed..look at differences

I ordered the Blue iPhone 12 – and I think that Apples renderings are 99% correct. It's somewhat obvious that the first image in this thread is way off in it's coloring. This last one is with soft natural light, that almost certainly is the correct color – or at least I hope so.

The blue in the render has quite a lot of green in it, while the pics show a much purpler shade of blue. I like the render, but I don’t like the pics. So I’m with you there. It actually is close to navy, fwiw, but I’m not a fan. (Of navy blue. A fan of the military branch though 🤣)

Unlike lots of people, I really like the bold colours of the standard iPhone, apart from the wishy-washy green which seems a bit of an odd-one-out and just makes me think of the colour they seemed to paint all soviet hardware in the 80s, like the Chernobyl control room.

I do agree with others though that I'd like a proper semi-matt black Pro option, but hey, it's going in a case anyway.

I think that’s the band. Maybe?
Oh ok lol I was going to say. Now I dont know if the pro blue is too girly or not.... seeing it in ladies hands messed up my perception lol...might switch to the grey... ugh hate to cancel

The standard 12 colours are awful this year. Why black not space grey? Why white not silver?

I agree 100% on their color choices for the standard lineup, the white one is the best of a bad bunch IMHO. I think "fancy" versions of the standard colors (White & Black) get saved for the Pro models these days. Kinda like Blue (Standard 12) vs Pacific Blue (Pro)

Don’t do it ..

I bet you will be happy when you see it in person

I have been wanting a blue iPhone flagship phone for years and my dreams are coming to fruition very soon with my preorder of the pacific blue coloured iPhone 12 Pro. For the first time in iPhones I am following suite of my Nokias - the order of a clear case with MagSafe and the wallet with MagSafe is a brilliant idea. Now I will be able to enjoy the high quality coioured casings.

Agreed! I was tempted by the blue until I saw this. Same for red, which looks way too orangey in the photos. The green is nice and seems pretty much in line with the renders, though.

Since I've already decided to wait for 12 Mini (small screen lover here) it seems I need to reconsider my choice of color. I was hoping to go for the blue one, but it definitely looks like "lego brick". White and black seem more "neutral". Or at least I need to see it first in person to decide.

Pity BTW that stainless steel options are not available for "mini" sizes.

Personally, I'll reserve judgement until I see it in stores and the reviews come rolling in. Whether I buy or not will depend entirely on camera performance (esp. night mode) and battery. The 11 Pro is still a beast but iOS 14 has taken a heavy toll on battery life. 5G and Magsafe are cool on paper but of no use to me. The 12 Pro had better do photography extremely well to make me pony up the difference and put up with the notch again on a new model.

Agreed about changing the Red. I love the 2020 SE Red.

Best red was iPhone 8 RED. Change my mind ;)
